i think its all in personal choice. less taste?or better for you?. i mean you dont want super fatty steak. i always have round steaks, really lean and affordable, i have that if im cutting or bulking.

Never had it. How's the taste compared to a fattier steak? There's something weird to me about bland steak...

I like having steak once a day... I usually have it with my post workout meal (an hour after my post workout shake), is that the best idea?

I like to eat lean ground beef too, with 7% fat content. Let it soak on a paper towel after cooking to absorb more grease.

I agree with Dome on costco. Buying in bulk is the way to go. Never tried their london broil, though. I usually get the ny strips. 4 huge steaks for about $38. Ill get them home, season them, cut them in half then throw them in the freezer. Ill keep maybe 2 out for dinner a few days. But look at it this way, 4 steaks gives you 8 meals...

i guess im the lucky one here, im a chef for a very upscale steak house. We dry age our beef. Bone in sirloin...is the one of the best tasting steaks, but we have tons of marbling in it, so lots of fat. We also have your ribeye (delmonico) best flavor but the most fat. I have to clean and cut all the meat for service. So i keep all the scraps when i clean the tenderloins (filet migon) bag them and freeze them. I have over 20# as we speak in my freezer. But i try only eating the steak 2-3 times a week if that. But i agree with the london broil or top round. Shoulder is very very low in fat but if you eat one of those, "brime" it for a day, then slow cook it. IT will give it alot more flavor and not as tough.

London broil and eye of round steaks. they are cheap, low fat, and full of high quality protein. I also have a deer hunter who gives me alot of meat..I ate 2 deer last year alone...very low fat. I got creative and made 10 pounds of deer jerky whivh I throw in my briefcase and snack on during the day.

I think skirt steak is really good with a good amount of protein.
