    Powertec Power Rack

Does anyone own or have used a Powertec Power Rack? I am converting my garage into a home gym and am looking at this system. Most reviews seem to be positive.

I've sold them for years. How heavy do you go?

The look nice but the frame is very thin gage steel. If you tighten the bolts hard you will start to pull in the frame. Also they are known for being screwed up out of the box. Missing hardware, dented, I've had them where they forgot to put the holes in the frame. I would stay away.

I have one similar to this (don't think its the same brand). It actually survived a house fire with just a blackening. I've had up to 800lbs (for rack pulls) and dropped 700lbs while squatting on it with very little bend. Mine is beat to shit from all the heavy weight, but is still very functional. I love my squat rack!

Powertech Sucks… You might want to check out maxicam but it’s veryt pricey at $2k a cage. If you are looking for a good inexpensive cage you might want to check out a body sold cage.. here is a site that you can order some good cagess from.

Here a site you can get top quality cages at top dollar prices but great equipment:
