Thread: Natural vs. chemically assisted

    Question Natural vs. chemically assisted

    Here is a hypothetical scenario.
Imagine there is Bill and Billy. They both are 25 yrs. old and currently have the exact same stats,DNA, lifts, and they love training.

At the age of 25, Bill starts juicing.

At the same time, Billy keeps working towards his genetic potential.

Of course Bill will quickly surpass Billy.

But then Billy starts juicing at 30 yrs of age.

By the time they are both 35 yrs. old, will they be the same size and have the same strength? Billy has only been juicing for 5 while Bill has been for 10 yrs. But Billy had waited until he filled out his genetic potential till he started aas.

So by 35 yrs. of age, who would be bigger and stronger? Bill or Billy?

Well, I would think the one who has been using aas longer, if used correctly. Now, if you make it more extreme... like Bill starts at 18 (like people do here, and Billy starts at let's say.... 26.... Then I think that Billy will be better off when they both hit 35. From all the reading here, 25 is the optimal age to start. You have people that run cycles and continue to gro.... then you have the guys who have 12 cycles under their belt and still weigh 170.

So then it's better to start out as a natural bodybuilder and start using aas after you have felt you have reached your genetic potential? How would you know when you have reached your genetic potential? Also many BB pros have used aas before 25. I don't think, for example, that Flex Wheeler was clean before age 25. Ronnie Coleman or Lee Haney, for example, did start aas until they already had plenty of lifting experience. So extremes would be Flex Wheeler and Lee Priest vs. Coleman or Lee Haney who started when they were older(maybe not 25 but certaintly not under 20)

i think this is an impossible question to answer. steroids alone dont make you what u are in the gym or how you look. ya they play a role, if they didnt peop wouldnt use em. BUT your end results come off your diet and training!

that said, i think who will be bigger or whatever will depend mostly on that

well im sure most of those guys were blessed with good genetics. they also chose that path, that lifestyle. its very hard. ya im sure a lot of them did use AAS before the age of 25, but doesnt mean everyone should, or your avg. joe. takes an amount of dedication a lot of people just simply cant commit to, those guys could

There are far more greater factors involved than AAS to who will be bigger.

it depends on what gear bill runs, his diet, etc, as marcus said theirs so many other factors

but if we were to say BILL did 5 years of AAS, and say he ran 3 cycles in that time

his diet and training, rest etc were all good

now lets say billy starts AAS 5 years later and runs the same 3 cycles as bill and trained, dieted, rested etc IDENTICALY to bill

while billy is running his 3 cycles, bill is running another 3 cycles in those years

    so totals
    bill runs 6 cycles
    billy runs 3 cycles

both have completed identical first 3 cycles, diet, training etc

so who most likely do u think will be bigger?

bill would most likely be bigger becuase hes had 5 more year of running AAS, therefore he has double the chances almost of being bigger

(this is a hypothetical situation and not necessaraly true but for my example we are comparing identical people with identical situations and factors)

even if both diets the same...trains the same... uses identical AAS... both are exactly the same...

but their genetics will never be the same... ok unless they are twins...

Let's use Kai Greene as an example.
I think he is 35 yrs. old. He got his natural pro card at maybe 19 then he got his IFBB pro card when he was like 29 yrs. old. Somewhere between his natural pro card and his IFBB card, he started the gear.

Let's say he started the gear at 25. He got 5th at this year's Olympia. HOWEVER, if he had started the gear before 25, let's say, 21, or dare we say 18?, EVERYTHING else being the same, could he still have been 5th place at this year's Olympia? Or would he have been even bigger? Or maybe even winning the show?

Jea it depends on genetics, training and diet and consistancy over the years.
But if Bill has been on year-round for 10 years then Bill is bigger than Billy.

guys its hypothetical so they do have the same genetics
of course the one who started earlier on AAS will be bigger
you need to compare them down the road say 5 yrs after the both have stopped AAS who will be bigger. And i dont thnk anyone could give even a hypothetical answer to that

Are you guys saying that the earlier you start the gear the better?? That must mean that all the IFBB pros must be kicking themselves in the head cuz had they started the juice ealier, they'd be bigger stronger etc.
