    welcome the board.

why don't you tell us more about yourself so we can help you:

    Sorry.
I work out everyday 30 minutes of cardio and 2 hours of lifting. Alternating upper and lower each day.
    I am 24 years old
    5'11
    185lbs
    BF% last checked was 10

My diet I usually hit around 150g of protein a day . I try to include vegetables and fruits.. don't really know other specifics, i just generally try to maintain 150g+ of protein from food + bars + shakes

    Few things...

    1. 2 hours of lifting every day is over-training. This is almost certainly why you are having problems progressing. Arnold once said the key to breaking a plateau is more rest, not more training.

    2. 24 is still a tad to young to gear up. I'm sure if you modify your training you could still get natural gains.

    3. 5'11" and 185 is a tad on the slim side, what body type are you? The low BF% is good, but I'm positive your diet and training could use working on.

ya 2 hours is overkill. i workout anywhere from 50-70mins

you need to pretty much double your protein intake. best to get your protein from real food like chicken, fish, lean red meat etc. not from shakes and bars

Ok, thank you for the information.

I don't really know how to answer what kind of body type I am?? Athletic sort of build.

I will try to double my protein intake and incorporate more of it from foods.

Damn I thought 2 hours a day was too little of a work out. I will decrease to 1 hour.

Is it still okay to do 30 minutes of cardio EVERYDAY?

So, 30 minute cardio, and 1 hour of upperbody / lowerbody alternated ?

Well...I would cut down on the cardio unless you're training for a sport or something. 1 hour is good for lifting, but you don't need to lift every day. Your body needs a chance to rest, if you're breaking down muscles that aren't finished repairing yet you're just stepping backwards.

Are you body building? Training for a sport? Powerlifting?

Not training for a sport.. maybe the cardio has something to do with my non-weight gains.

I am by no means no pro body builder or anything but yes I have been lifting for 8 or 9 years, over the years I have had good results and gains.. these past two years I am been at a standstill. Changing my routines and everything. nothing is working. That is why I wanted to look into roids.
I just lift because I love to lift, its my hobby, I like to look good and feel good.

Thx for all ur input so far

That's cool. I would look into a 5-day bodybuilding split program instead of alternating upper/lower body. You could still lift 5 days a week and do cardio on your off days. There's plenty of examples and programs in the workout section here that you could check out. Also, I highly recommend Arnold's Bodybuilding Encyclopedia. It's a powerhouse of information.

No problem. You should also check out Pumping Iron if you haven't already. You can buy it on DVD, and can derive power from watching it.
