Torn pec? Any one with it help

hey .. i tore my pec last month while benching of course.. on the 3rd rep for 365 i felt a tearing sound and immediatley racked it.. i tried to do just 135 and couldn't do that so i went home.. i never got bruising or any thing like that.. right now i can prob do 60 dbells and not feel any pain in my chest.. i notice i have a small indent on my chest and the problem is now im in PCT and just ordered some var and hgh.. i will run var at 20mg ed.. and hgh at 5iu eod as i can't really afford more then 25iu for the week.. i will not train chest or go extremely light.. i can still do 205 on shoulderpress but if i go to 225 i feel it very slightly

Doesnt sound like you "tore a pec" to me. suggestive strain possibly, but not a tear. If you did tear it i wouldnt suggest doing ANY pressing movements. If you get worse or the pain persist seek a sports medicine doc...TOP

People have surgery for torn pecs not strains, there isnt anything to repair with a strain. Is it getting better, and more importantly have you taken my advice and not used it??

i have the same thing wrong with my pec, i have the indent too. its been 6 months sense my "sprain" and it still hasn't filled in yet. i got an mri on it to see if anything was torn and they said everything was fine. kinda pissed me off bc there IS something wrong! my strength is slowly coming back. but my chest is still indented and i hate it so much!

My training partner just went through this same situation. He was benching 405 for reps and got cocky and wanted to go up to 450. Next thing you know, he pushed and felt a rip, and instantly yelled to rack the weight. He bruised up the next day and couldnt hardly move it that night. He waited a few weeks to see if it felt any better but it still hurt. So he went to get an MRI and the doctor did say that he had a partial tear but he said that he didnt really need surgery. He took that doctors advice. He let it heal on its on for 6 more weeks then slowly started doing chest movements like bendhing the bar and 20lb dumbells just to be on the safe side. As he progressed his weight week to week he started really noticing a big indention in his pec tie in. He called his dr and his dr said it should be healed by now. Go ahead and put some resistance to it. So he tried. He did 135 llike 30 reps with no pain. Then 185 just shut him down. He just cant push anymore. Here he is, a bodybuilder that used to bench in the upper 400's, and now cant push over 185! Now he wishes that he would have gotten a second opionion and he may have needed surgery. So botttom line, if you think you got a tear, listen to your body. Dont push through it. You may damage yourself to the point that you regret what you did.
