Best Type of Oats for Shake

I just started putting oats in my shake and i dont think i got the ones that are good for shakes, theyre heavy and thick and most of them end up settling at the bottom of the glass. Anybody have a good brand they can recommend?

You could also try using a coffee grinder (kind of like a food processor, but designed to grind down coffee beans) to grind them into a fine powder. I used to put flaxseed in my protein shakes and I used the coffee grinder to grind them down first.

You're not doing anything wrong - they are gonna do that, sink to the bottom. You just need to close the top and shake it up again in between/right before taking another swig, or stir. I thought it would suck when I started doing it too, but now I actually enjoy chewing em' up!

How much do they usually cost? And would it work with oats?

I bought mine a few years ago and I don't remember what I paid, but you can find them for less than $20. Flaxseeds are tiny, much smaller than oats, so it should work fine on the oats as well.

grinder will work or you can also try putting the oats in the blender first and blend longer, that worked for me.

Or you can try setting your blender into "high" mode or whatever the highest setting you can use and just let it blend for atleast 20 seconds. I had the same problem you described but after I found the right settings if feels like drinking a plain shake. you wouldn't even feel the oats. Hope this help because I hate to see you waste a good o' old fashioned Oats. hehehe
