    Liddell vs Franklin UFC 115

So what is the point of this fight? We were supposed to see Liddell beat up Ortiz for the 3rd time and Franklin was supposed to fight Coutoure later this year...

Does this fight do anything for either of these fighters or just a last minute attempt at a headline fight? I love my boy Rich, but the level of the MMA game has left him behind and Liddell will probably never be in the octagon after this fight...

Should draw decent numbers, but does anyone see a point?

i think youre right, last minute attempt for a main event. unless something happens in the TUF that Ortiz is out and Franklin is in(i heard a rumor of a flu or some shit) then the fight would make sense.

that whole card really doesnt amaze me at all. pretty tame compared to the last 3-4 cards IMO. i was considering buying tickets but after i saw that card, i decided against it. i wasted 400 bucks to see silva and thales leites dance around in montreal last year as well as to see chuck liddell's "last fight"

Just a filler fight for sure, both dudes were great in their day but there's so many better fighters nowadays.
But with the amount of MMA/UFC on Tv now they need fighters to headline, are they fighting @ a catchweight?

im an iceman fan.this means i cant see past the obvious that franklin will kick his ass.it saddens me.i like lidel as a fighter and as person.i hope he wins but i doubt it.i wouldn't say the whole fight night is a sham.its obvious the promoters got screwed when tito took off.i dont need to put my all in the main card.plenty of exciting fights other then the main event that night and i look forward to it.

liddell in no way is washed up. i would have loved to see liddell at tito again just so that i could watch just chuck hand him his ass again. i think chuck is more than good enough to beat rich and i reackon chuck will knock him out. you gotta admit chuck is one of the most exciting fighters to watch. he has knock out power in both hands and is a great counter puncher and we all knock franklin likes to push forward. if chuck beats frankin and the tito match dsnt go ahead do any of you guys think liddell and rampage will be next up

It does seem a little rediculous considering chucks last few fights. that being said i'm excited to see what happens since i've been following both of these guys so long. don't forget the other fights on the card, Crocop vs Pat Barry should be interesting. At 5'11 that guy is just begging for a left high kick haha

I really like Chuck but i don't see him beating Franklin. I admit anything can happen and Chuck always has a punchers chance, I wouldn't bet on this fight but if i had to i would pick Franklin. Anyone know what the betting line is? I would think Ace would be favored.
