    Cutting diet.. critique please

Hey guys.. posted my pics up in another thread http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...=1#post5221415

Weighing in at 237 lbs.. Heres the diet i just laid out for myself.. let me know what you think

    Meal 1: 2 scoops whey, 1/2c oats
    Meal 2: 6oz. chicken + 2 tsp flax
    Meal 3: Veggies, 6oz chicken

    WORKOUT

Meal 4: PWO shake... 2scoop whey 66g dextrose
Meal 5: 6oz. chicken, veggies, 1/2c brown rice
    Meal 6: 7 egg whites + 1 scoop whey+ 3tsp flax

    Breaks down as follows:

    Calories: 2,150
    Fat: 48.2g
    Carbs: 153g
    Protein: 272g

I'll probably try to add 150 cals worth of nuts in to get up to 2300 cals.. where would it be best to fit this in?

    Thanks all..

Meal 3: Veggies, 6oz chicken Add 1/2 cup oats - you need an energy source pre-workout

    WORKOUT

Meal 4: PWO shake... 2scoop whey 66g dextrose No, No, No. When cutting, we should be eating for activities we are going to do, not already done. Especially not simple carbs. In fact, I'd remove all PWO carbs. No carbs; add your almonds here.
Meal 5: 6oz. chicken, veggies, 1/2c brown rice Remove rice, add 1/2 tbspn. oil (extra virgin olive is my preference) to your veggies.
Meal 6: 7 egg whites + 1 scoop whey+ 3tsp flax Eat a slower digesting lean protein before bed. Not 2 very fast sources. Do either a cup of whole milk cottage cheese or 1 scoop of casein protein/1 tbspn. natural PB as your pre-bed meal. These sources will get you through the night.

Implement those changes. You'll cut down much quicker with that diet. I recommend you do 45 minutes of PWO LIT before consuming your shake as well. Leave your glycogen depleted and have the rest of your day's activities proceed to burn more fat. No offense man, but you're very overweight - at least by bodybuilding standards. I'd forget about gaining and not even worry about some LBM loss until your below 20%. At that point, re-evaluate things and eat closer to your TDEE, while going the rest of the way with cardio. Yes, you need to do cardio every day.

No offense taken man, I appreciate the advice. I read a lot about people advising against too many shakes. If I replace my last meal with a scoop of casein and tbsp of nat pb that'll be my third shake of the day. You think this is too much??

The reason people advise against shakes is mainly because whey protein is such a fast digesting source and it doesn't nourish long enough to count as a real meal. Casein before bed serves the opposite purpose. It's not a problem.

Ideally, however, you should replace your whey in meal 1 with a whole egg and the 7 whites you've removed from your last.
