    Sh1tty subject (protein f@rts!!!)

Diet is all dialed in with a health 3500 cals/day and a 40/40/20 macro split, or pretty close.

Problem. Even though I take a beano with every meal, I still get the protein f@rts.

    What to do?

A better quality protein. GNC's wheybolic, zero carb isopures like Isolyze (the 1 dave talks about in the vids). Plain old cheap whey is your issue.

I take a product that is a mix of whey concentrate, whey isolate, egg protein and milk protein. Definately not plain old cheap whey, so not my issue. It became an issue when I kicked up my cals/day to 3500+ with a mix at 40/40/20. I'm at about 4 scoops a day. This comes to about 1/3 of all the protein consumed. Probably a tad high. The rest of my protein comes from chicken/fish/steak.....

Since no answers, then I'll probably up my beano and add additional probiotic.

Considered switching up the carb sources then? i know I don't fart, at all, when I'm on keto and minimally on a strictly low GI carb diet.

I farted minimally until I upped the cals to 3500+/day.

Carbs are pretty simple. I drink alot of milk (I doubt Im lactose intolerant), rolled oats, brown rice, honey, banana, cantalope, corn, and a smidge of peanut butter. These are the carbs I ate yesterday.

try taking in more fiber with your protein. I don't remember why but it helps. Use like metamucil or something.

whey concentrate is what causes protien farts, i was watching a video about it...

anyhow, the lactose that is in concentrate is not able to digest in the gut and it causes bloat and gas as a result...

whey isolate however is processed much more purely (hence the price!), so all of the crappy stuff you get in concentrate is removed....

i used to use concentrate because of the cheap price, but then i found out the irritation it causes actually effects its absorbtion !!! so you dont actually dont get what you think youre getting from one serving !!!!

isolate, is known to cause much less bloat and gas (if any), and its also absorbs much easier and faster...

    hope that helps....

most people are lactose intolerant, the human body has not adapted to digesting dairy yet...

im sure anyone who lived on just milk or cottage cheese would soon have the shits !!!

Mates. I've been on this particular whey product for a few years with no incident. I've been thinking since I've been adding milk lately - up to maybe 6 cups or more. So I'm back from Costco with a bunchh of "lactaid". I'm thinking I may be slightly lactose intolerant, not sure. For $14 it's worth a shot.

As much as Im on here I have not seen this particular thread/question either.

Hmmmm maybe the cheap Walmart Whey is causing my gas? Im starting to feel like my dad, the old guy who is always farting.... LOL except I dont/wont do it in front of anyone even family. Yes it can be a bit uncomfortable sometimes. LOL

Time to try GNC whey or??? $$$$
