    sauce for foods

I've been eating my steak/chicken breast plain for the past several months and came across a sugar-free sauce that I'd like to start incorporating with a couple of my meals just to spice it up a bit. It is sugar-free according to the ingredients, but I am wondering if it would be a wise choice while I am on a cutting diet???

Here are the details of the sauce:

    Name: Nando's garlic peri-peri sauce

    Ingredients:
water, vinegar, onion, salt, lemon (5%), garlic, vegetable oil, serrano chilli, cayenne pepper, african bird's eye chilli (peri-peri chilli), stabilisers (Xantham gum, propylene glycol alginate)

    Nutritional information (per serving: 5grams)
    protein-0
    carb-.3
    from sugar-.3
    fat-.2
    saturated-.03
    fibre-.01
    sodium-.1

I usually have a serving of about 2 tbsp for one of my meals once a day. This meal is for lunch, including 250g lean steak with sweet potato. This is the only time I ever use this sauce; later in the day when I have steak again, I mix olive oil/lemon juice together for a sauce to keep it pro/fat.

Does anyone see a problem using a bit of this sauce with my lunch while I'm on a cutting diet?

    Thanks!

Try it out and see, that's not like adding a pound of bacon or anything...

I've tried it a few times, but is it advisable to use sauces such as this during a cutting diet?

dude, IMO theres hardly any nutrional value in it all so if makes a meal more interesting then why not use it once in a while...

thats not going to be an issue at all.. My buddy had a book called Super Eating or Super Foods or something like that.. its a real good read.. but anyways, the point is that things like Garlic are actually REALLY good for you.. something in them that helps burn fat or build muscle or somethign.. can't remember the specifics.. but i am sure there is no harm in a bit of sauce on your food as long is it's not BBQ sauce or sweet and sour or anything like that..
