In the near future (10-20 years) they say they will be able to clone your hair just like they clone sheep. If I was you I would just shave my head. You don't want a big ass scar on the back of your head for the rest of your life.

It really amazes me that with all the advances in technology (cloning etc..) that they still haven't figured out way to regrow hair or at least stop it from falling out...it sucks

I think you are all missing the point. The sollution is NOT "just shave it and be happy" obviously he brings this up because he does NOT want to be bald. Steroids will increase baldness. The sollution for your hairloss is to investigate cost and benefit from a hair transplant, weigh its advantages and disadvantages. And I am like you, I dont like looking 10-15 years older than my actual age either

Go to a dermatologist and ask for 5 MG of finasteride. Tell him you want 15 a month and you will cut them in 1/2. You can also look on line for Avodart. It is supposed to be the best thing for blocking DHT because it blocks both type 1 & 2. Topicals never worked for me.

When I run High levels of Test, I always use Avodart.

cloning is not going to happen anytime soon and prices are steady. my buddy spent 22 grand for 3000 graphs. but if you can afford it its definately a confidence booster.

I dont believe that. I think it will happen sooner than later. Maybe not in the US but it will start soon in other countries that are already 10x cheaper for cosmetic surgery than the US.

its good to have hope but cloning wont happen for awhile atleast 10-15 years. before even considering a transplant get on a hair transplant forum, and do your research much like you do with steroids. there are alot of bad docs out there giving poor results.in all my research i found there is only about 3 or 4 good hairtransplant docs. do not just go o the doc closest to you as you will most likely get terrible results. also what mehod are you looking at fue or strip?

mine started going at your age too. i looked into all options. one thing i would suggest, if you aren't comfortable with losing your hair, GET ON PROPECIA, FAST! at the very least it'll help you hold onto what you've got left (for a while). even if you're getting a transplant, they still recommend you take propecia as well.

next, do yourself a favor and get one of the many hair-thickening shampoo's that are on the market (specifically for balding men), as well as a product called "derm match". derm match is a water resistant "make-up" that was popularized in hollywood. you use it to color the scalp UNDER the hair, and it works incredibly well for SLIGHTLY balding men.

other than that, i don't recommend getting a hair transplant this soon. there's always time for that. try the other options FIRST. if that doesn't work, try shaving your head - you might like the look! i mention shaving your head BEFORE getting a transplant, because the transplant leaves a horizontal scar on the back of your head/neck, that is extremely visible on bald men. so if you ever do decide to shave your head, you'll be self-conscious about the scar.

and let's face it, transplants don't last forever, and they also don't always work. just make sure you exercise all your options, first. me? i shaved my head and haven't looked back! when i realized i liked the bald look, i stopped the propecia so i could lose everything else and have less of a shadow. to each his own tho. just do all the research before trying anything permanent.

danimal you are correct that hair transplant results dont always work so many people these days are getting botched jobs, however you are slightly wrong about the scar on the back of your head. the method that leaves a scar is called strip this is where they take a strip of hair and plant it in the missing areas leaving a scar. the new method is called fue which leaves no scar and if you go to the right doctor it is vertually undetectable, they extract the hairs from the back and put them in missing areas it leaves no scar allowing you to shave your hair if you wanted. fue is alot more expensive.

Do the research on FUE....they can take hair from other places on the body.

I probably opt out for having pubes on my head though....lol

I am going to do the fue soon. Good luck to you.

only certain doctors take hair from other places then the back of the head, and let me tell you that the results are unnatural and look terrible. also most peoples body hair is curly and thin, it just dosent look right. the good doctors would not mess with anything but the back of the head.

Hair transplantation is the surgical removal of hair from a certain area of the scalp and its relocation to a bald or thinned area, this a very effective and recover technique today, and choose a best doctor for this hair transplant.
