Weights, cardio, then your PWO meal
Not to dispute the vets, but I don't see anything wrong with having a shake immediately PWO and before cardio. I wouldn't do any fats or carbs in that meal, just the shake for PWO, and then a little while after cardio your PPWO meal consisting of all whole foods.
Just my .02, certainly not saying it's the right way.
I like to have a meal 1.5 hours to 2 hours before I train. Then a shake before (say 30 min before) and another shake after (I do one higher carb drink after, I know alot of guys dont agree with it but it works for me) and then 10min or so after that I take in 50g protein in a shake.
