    Stretching: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsvWW...eature=related

I have elbow tendonitis on and off and this is the only thing that really helps. Also very good is hanging from a bar by the injured arm (type of stretching). Try to not grap the bar with your full hand but more with your fingers while hanging. Also Forearm excercises help to prevent Tend.

I support it with Fish Oil and Super Cissus Rx + I take diclofenac for the pain and inflammation.

One thing I have found very helpful for elbows in general is when doing any kind of tricep work control the wieght at all times particularly on the decent, the loading on the elbow when stopping a rapidly moving wieght is much greater than the load during the actual movement.

Also a punching a heavy bag or riding a pinball machine (though I doubt many of you young guys even know what I am saying) is hell on elbows.

Yeah I doubt many people play them any more but when I was a kid 13-18 I used to play them 2-5 hrs a day and the whole time you would be jabbing your hands forward to bump the ball around on the table, to do this with maximal input without tilting you would hold your palms about 3/4 of an inch and bang against the damn thing right as the ball hit a cushion or bumper again and again, my damn elbows always hurt back then....ahh mispent youth..

You don't say if the tendonitis is lateral or medial.

Most of the time, the inflamation is at the attachment (of the tendon) to the epicondyle. Your goal is to reduce this inflamation so that it heals faster than you can inflame it again. Obviously, not doing motions that iirritate it until it heals would work best, but who wants to do that?

diclofenac works. It is an anti-inflamatory drug, and if it is irritated enough, you are going to need to take some sort of NSAID. Ibuprofen is an OTC NSAID, but you have to take over 800mg to get any action.

Two very simple and non-systemic ways to treat this type of inflamation are ice packs to the area for 20 minutes several times/day, and some sort of strap that presses on the tendon distal to the irritation, and creates an 'artificial attachment." So when you contract the muscle that is pulling on the tendon, it doesn't pull on the attachment to the bone and irritate it more.

Just until it heals. When you get to where it is a "2" or less on a pain scale of 1-10, you should start stretches.

Plain and simple, get ART, if you don't know what that is, look it up! I usually get one session a month for any problem areas, and its the best money I could spend on helping injuries or inflammation!

The ART sounds great but no providers in my area.

I compete a lot in armwrestling, so I am very familiar with how it feels. I honestly feel that it ultimately will just take time to get better. Over time I have become accustomed to this pain, and it doesn't affect me as much anymore. I would say that there are some great ideas here, but nothing that will "cure" it, in my opinion. I'd steer clear of things that irratate it for a week or so. Yeah, it really sucks, sorry man.
