Does anyone know how long you can safely be on HRT? Have there been any long term studies done?

HRT I am not very familiar with however as far as TRT goes while long term studies are lacking there have been people on TRT for decades. I think the consensus based on the study of these patients is that as long as there are no pre-existing conditions like a high PSA score, and as long as the dosages used are those that maintain a test score within normal ranges that the long term effects are minimal. Occasionally individuals will suffer from a rise in hemocrit level ( although this is much more common when high supraphysiologic dosages are used) and this will need to be remedied by phlebotomy (removal of a pint of blood every so often) to maintain favorable levels.
However I am looking mainly at the results for those in my age group 50+ to whom testicular function and the ability to procreate are no longer a major concern. This is indeed a very complicated situation with a ton of variables. The long term usage of HCG to address these problems and other issues are a discussion way past my knowlege level.

Thank you for the info Far. I figured since it was not a huge dose of test that it would be different from the stories you hear from people who have used massive amounts of steroids for years.
ive been on test since 20 and trt since 25 and i think im ok
If it improves your life thats one positive just the infertility issue which are be fixed with the use of hcg...
I was 550 on a scale of 200-900 age adjusted. Ran it very very high according to saliva test.
Made me too horny; started fooling with soccer moms, shop clerks, etc. Was almost ready to
tap one 64. She is an elite cyclist with a butt I'll bet you could crack walnuts in! Dropped dose
to acheive level of 850. Once in awhile I think of having a testosterone to epitestosterone ratio
study done. In international sports your T to E cannot be above 4 to 1. Tour de France winner, then
dethroned, Floyd Landis tested 11 to 1. When Mary Decker was banned for two years she
tested at about 8 to 1. Dumb shits should have had their levels monitered on a regular basis.
Thanks for your answers I appreciate them. I started therapy around september of last year, and I haven't felt this good in several years. My test serum was 182 ng/dl and my free test was 4.4 pg/ml. I think this was a big part of my problem. I want to continue feeling this good but not if I am going to regret it in 10-20 years.
