I was wondering how many of you have gotten busted coming across the border with gear. If you have, how much was it and what did they do to you?

I see people talking about getting popped at the border, I was just interested to see bro's actual experiences. Thanks

my friend got caught with $850 worth - pharm prices from mexico. He got a lecture and ticket that amounted to $150 and of course - he lost his gear. No probabtion - no record, nothing.

my buddy and two of his friends got caught comming across the border, except they had about $2000 worth of stuff(in prices down there, so u can imagine how much stuff it was) and they were all put in jail and got one year probation

My bro got caught with about 240 dollars worth of gear. Case was dropped. No record. But he does have a record in the border and will get a very "drop your pants" thorough search all the time.

So let me get this straight....from the stories above , it sounds worth the risk if all your going to get is a slap on the rist...right ? I mean I can handle a $150 fine and/or a nite or two in jail , been there done that far longer than a nite . So tell me is that why guy's are doing it so much. Shit.....I'm taking my next Vacation to SanDiego and bebopping across the border.

my buddy was actually with two other guys and they drove it across...border patrol asked to search their car(probly because they're all pretty big boys) and they got caught

Also remember there are lots of greedy little spies and narcs down there too. Just be careful who you deal with. They can always describe your car and your appearance to customs to give them a heads up. Pharmacy gets their shit back, maybe a little kick back and gets to do it all over again to the next poor soul. Use your imagination down there! Think like a chamelion

just declare it ....you will be fine .....do a search on the customs site they tell you how to do it.....

Ok so you declare it? Once you cross the boarder into the states you are breaking the law. I dont see why they wouldnt just arrest you 5 miles down the road.

You can't declare it at the border... there was a big post about it on elite. Basically the customs rules are worded a bit weird about the whole declaring things issue. Assuming the customs people know the rules they won't let you come across with gear- your best bet is to try to sneak it across.

So, instead of using USPS, i heard you can use FEDX or some other postal service that isnt federal. That should get you past customs seizures. I thought only USPS was regulated. Please respond if i am mistaken.

I have heard that all services are regulated. If you think about it, they must be. Why would the government permit fedex, ups, etc when they would simply be licensed drug smugglers?
