Have bigger meals? "Snacking" on anything tends to be a bad habit that results in improper tracking of macros. If I eat between meals, it's calorie-neutral stuff like greens.

eat (meals) more frequently and there will be no need to "snack"

If you equally space your total cals for the day so that you consume roughly the same amount of cals every 3 hours there should be no need for "snacking".

I generally eat till im stuffed for my 3 meals per day. I am a pretty hard-gainer; so I suppose I'll go the route of maybe trying to add an extra meal after dinner or something b/w lunch and dinner.

    Thanks guys

You will remain a hardgainer if you limit your meals to 3 times a day. Try to wake up earlier than usual, so that you can eat more meals throughout the day.

You do realize the standard for bodybuilding is 6-8 meals, right? It's recommended you eat a meal every 2-3 hours for just the reason you're posting - getting those calories where they need to be to gain.

I also want to say, if you're genuinely starving between meals and trying to gain mass - you should listen to your body and have something healthy like some chicken/veggies/nuts in a smaller portion to hold you down until the next feeding - it's simply that your diet should already address your caloric/hunger needs 100% via 6-8 protein-based meals.

Nutrient timing/meal frequency is highly overstated. If your looking for healthy , calorically dense , convenient between meal snack look to raw nuts.
Id suggest walnuts (for omega 3 content) or almonds.
Others are ok as well , those 2 are my preference.
    Good luck.

Note: make sure you hit your daily macros and this addition fits those macros. That most important. Your body will adapt to simple hunger - dont allow it to dictate eating habits. The fact is the desire to eat is very often not a feeling associated with true hunger. Figure out macors , stick to them , monitor progress , adjust accordingly.
    Good Luck.

I don't disagree with anything you've said - good post. However, I preach what I preach based on the "bold" - it epitomizes the concept of easier said than done, especially for someone who doesn't even seem to know what macros are yet (sorry if I assume too much OP).

I dont disgagree with any advice you have given - its always prudent advice you give. I think 2 things:
1- The less adaptation required when entering this lifestyle the better...so meals with snacks in between may be easier and more conveninet for some. Incrimental changes may prove easier.
2- Somewhat contrary to what i posted in # 1 - SOME level of discipline is required in any worthwhile endeavor. The sooner you adapt to not allowing how you feel to dictate what you do - the better off you will be (to an extent of course).

Sometimes i dont feel like eating..im not hungry - but i eat. Sometimes i dont feel like going to the gym- but i go. Sometimes i feel hungry - but i dont eat. This lifestyle is alot about discipline. The sooner you incorporate more discipline into your lifestyle - the sooner you will reap the rewards. Plus not to get to spiritual or anything - but this disipline will carry over into many areas of your life and I have found it very benficial. I apptribute this increased discipline directly to this lifestyle and it benfits me in every area of my life.

^^ That's an entirely different way of looking at it and a good one. I tend to be an all or nothing guy and while it works for me, I think you're on to something with regard to minimizing adaptation.
