Nebidi and high estrogen

I am 47 years old
My doctor have finally given me Nebido.
I have it very 8 weeks and I had i 3 times now.
My tests are very good. They are at the upper level of normal.
But last time my estrogens was very high. It was about twice as normal!
My doctor is not sure what to do.
Must I have Nebido more seldom - maybe every 10 or 12 weeks? Will that lower my estrogens?
Or must I have some "anti estrogens"??
I know that the problem is that my test is being converted toestrogen in the body.

there you go, your E2 is way too high! this will not only make you feel like crap but also it will weaken the effect of the testosterone you're injecting! its courter productive!

But what must I do. Have Nebido every 12 weeks and not (as now) every 8 weeks? Or must I have anti estrogen?

i am assuming Nebido converts to E2 just like test cyp and others. i don't think the injection frequency matters, but i am not an expert on Nebido or TRT for that matter! but if you E2 is high you simply need to lower it, and yes i suggest talking to your doctor about anti estrogen.

agree...but his doctor is a MO-RON

i also dont know about nebido i cant remember if marcus and the few on nebido run an AI or if they dont have an issue yet with e2...maybe he'll chime in...if it were me..i would find an AI and keep an eye on the estro...you feel fine now so just have it ready or if anything maybe a low low dose..dont wanna fix what aint broke...but there must have been SOME reason why you asked about the AI to begin with.....

Isn't nebido a time release? Which would be like recieveing a little injection of T every day for weeks on end......you're body is converting that T into e2.......I would think an AI would be just as useful for Nebido as it would depot.........delivery shouldn't matter......only T and E2 levels/conversion

i doubt it, but you can try it! another thing that is known to lower estrogen is white head mushrooms! eat 3-4 heads every night for two weeks! google it!

Why do U think it will not lower it. I mean if I lower the frekvens of Nebido it will in the end after some time lower my test level? And if my test level lower, the convertion from test to E2 will lower? I think :-)
The problem is that in my country it is almost impossible to get AI from doctor beacause it is only in use for treatment of breastcancer

thats a good prescription to fill and have but you dont want to take too much...you said your feeling good remember dont fix wut aint broke..

i wish those ranges were normal looking...are you using a common instead of a decimal point either way it shows out of range but arimidex will work fast and strong and you havent had any complaints or symptoms anyway...

Yes - U are right. I used a comon instead of a decimal point. I am not used to this decimal point. The doctor told me to start with 0.5 mg a day. What do U think about that??

actually that maybe too much! but do it for one week then back off from there. its hard to tell how to adjust without blood work. my E2 was double the normal level and within one week at .5 mg it went down to lower end of normal. like JP said this stuff works fast and is very powerful. if you get joint pains then you know you went too low!

no don't stop, but adjust as necessary. adjust based on either blood work or by symptoms. after i did the 7 days i went down to 5 days, S, M, W, F and S. now i do S, M, T, T, S this worked better for me. but since you're on nebido i believe the E2 conversion is very study, so maybe you can do .5 eod. again this will take some time to fine tune, so learn how to read the symptoms for low and high E2 so you can adjust accordingly.

very true,some time back my estro was way high,and i took aromasin and got it down,and im 45,and now i feel better than i have in years,but my endo wouldnt prescribe my the aromasin,had to get some from elsewhere,but it will make a huge difference my friend!!! i promise

Thanks a lot! I have now being taken Arimidex for 2 days now. I will take it for one week and then take new blood-tests (testo, estro...).
I will write the results here

So my estradiol is going down from 0,23 to 0,04

I feel good. No joint pain. Normal mood.
I try now Arimidex 0.5 mg every 3 days. After 2 weeks I take a new bloodtest and see how I am doing.
After that I can decide how to dose in the future.
What do U think?

By the way Findus, although English may not be your first langauge you are easier to understand than many of our native English members :-)

One last note: As time goes by you may find that your need for an AI is greatly diminished. I am not sure if the body adapts to the exogenous Test over time or if its solely due to an improvement in body composition ( specifically fat content) that primarily causes the change. All I can tell you is that in a few months to a year, your AI requirments are likely to change.
