    Nerves twitching.....

A few weeks ago I had a bad delt injection. Must have hit a nerve..... it felt like my shoulder and arm caught fire. Burned for about 15 minutes......

Since then..... i've had twitching up and down my left arm...... my pecs..... my face..... legs..... all over. Im not exactly sure it's related to the injection as i've had some nerve twitching ehre and there since I can remember..... but only recently it's been non stop. Any idea wtf this could be? Anyone else twitch?

no twitching for me. But I do hit nerves from time to time. But i just back out and try again.

when i do get "the twitching" it's usually because i am very tired, either mentally or physically.

If you've been twitching for a couple of weeks, you might consider calling a day nurse and ask them what they think....

The most common spots are my fingers..... specifically my left thumb and pinky - my left bicep - my left delt - and my left forearm.

I'll ask a doc durring my next case and see whats going on.....

twitching can sometimes be confused for muscle spasms. If a muscle spasm is the case (for example after a shoulder workout) then an adhesion will form. These adhesions inhibit muscle flexibility and ROM. Doesn't sound like what you have haz but I get spasms in my shoulders all the time. Cuts off bloodflow and causes my arms to go numb all the time. Stretching and deep tissue massage really really helps. Can actually bring you back to normal. If you pinched a nerve in your shoulder and an adhesion (or maybe an oil ball) is pressing the nerve, you could try to massage that area out. try to locate little balls or knots in the muscles and knead them out; as if you were kneading bread with a rolling pin

In your case it definitely sounds nerve related but believe it or not, Stress can cause the same thing to happen as it has happened to me on a couple of occasions- it's very weird.

I had to stop shooting my delts, I would be sitting in a resteraunt and my shoulder would just start twitching like crazy. I even had problems with slin pins while shooting GH/Slin.

That sounds all to familiar. I already have 3 herniated disc in my lower back. I have no doubt I have some in my upper since my arms go numb all the time down to my fingers and I have to crack/manipulate my back upper or lower to get the feeling back.

If you dont think you injured it take care of the obvious first. Get rest, try to relax. I know a while back I had some good twitching going on my shoulder area for a couple days but it was also due to no sleep and stress.

In that case, it could definitely be related then- I mentioned Stress because I can remember when mine disappeared (Stress) so did the twitching and it has happened to me on at least 2 occasions that I can remember.

no twitching over the weekend really.....

Did a delt injection on the right side on friday..... felt some burning but nothing too bad. I woke up saturday morning with a dead arm. My shoulder is rock hard and I can't use my damn arm. Idunno wtf i'm doing wrong..... Its not like delts are a new spot for me. I'm not even kidding when I say I can't use my arm..... I have to sleep on my back with my arm out to the side..... can't wipe my ass..... can't scratch my opposite shoulder. I tried a heating pad thinking I need to disperse the oil..... made it worse. I just tried a menthol muscle rub and believe it or not..... i'm getting some relief......

Damn bro you are having a rough week. Time to send the wife away for a would of weeks so you can have a break.... I read 2 other post tonight were people injected in the Delt and had a dead arm the next day. I think I will stick to quads.

    LMFAO!

Can you feel a tendon or something if you press down firmly on your delts. It would be your side delts..... the furtherst part that sticks out. You can't be flexing the muscle when you press down......gotta be relaxed. I can feel a tendon in there on both sides when I push in..... I always try to stay on either side of that when I inject and never have issues. My right shoulder feels like that tendon is either swollen to hell or theres an abscess or something under it. It just fvckin aches all damn day..... since friday so far with no relief.

Hahaha the power of suggesting is amazing.

No twitching for me (that was 2 months ago) but BOTH my shoulders, the tendons feel like I pulled them all the way down to my elbows for the last 2 weeks although I have not lifted very heavy lately. Last week I could hardly move them, especially the left shoulder and had to ice both of them off and on for 2 days to get relief. I think it may be mostly I just didnt warm up good enough and now I'm paying for it.
