careful with the banana overdosing, too much potassium = screwed up kidneys. had blood work done a few years back and was warned about potassium levels and i could have done serious damage if i'd of carried on for much longer, this was on only 2 bananas a day.

It takes 5 bananas just to get to your daily recommended value of potassium. No way 2 caused kidney problems. Maybe it was the clen and other supplements you were on lol. If you eat a lot of bananas (or other foods with potassium) make sure you have the proper electrolyte balance (salt intake). Our food doesn't have nearly the nutrients it used to anyway so I doubt 15 bananas per day would do harm.

I think its more likely that you had kidney problems and weren't metabolizing the potassium. I had the same deal with protein

nope, she said it was a direct result of have too much potassium in my diet, it was on the verge of triggering kidney probs which in turn affects the heart. surely you're not going to argue a doctors diagnosis? i think she knows more than us mate.

What kind of blood panel tests for kidney function anyway? I wonder if I have kidney problems... I get distension like a MFer at times. Or is that my Liver/Gallbladder?

I am not arguing with the docs diagnosis, I am sure that you were on the verge of kidney problems, I am arguing with the cause. No way 2 bananas a day will give you enough potassium to screw up your kidneys. There was another cause.

Idk what to say but I'm telling you that you would have to be a unique case bro. Maybe an allergy or something. For the general (99%) public, 2 bananas a day is not gonna do any harm unless you have an allergy. You probably eat potassium in about the same amounts anyway you just don't know it.

Bananas aren't even that high on potassium.

it would be hard to pinpoint exactly, i just know when i cut them out my levels went back to normal. just mainly warning folk about the danger about potassium supps on top of diet and how easily you can unwittingly be doing damage to yourself with something considered everyday and harmless
