    Trying to lose 25 pounds...

Im looking to cut around 25 pounds by the end of october, seems possible.
    5' 10''
    200lbs
    20% +/- BF

what are some suggestions? i eat around 3500 calories a day, most of it garbage foods that im trying to get away from... i figure eating around 1700 calories i could lose weight fast, but i just need to know the correct foods and percentages to intake.

    Thanks,
    Logan.

Start by looking thru the diets that people post in the diet forum then post up what your diet looks like now and then what you think you would like it to be..Then the fellers with the insight will help you get dialed in to accomplish your goals.

I can tell you that you are correct that you need to drop your cals. 3500 cals a day without a good workout routine is def gonna put on unwanted lbs..especially if they are dirty cals...

Not trying to sound like a d!ck, but I can tell you have a lot to learn just by how you're approaching this. The good news is you've come here for help vs. just doing it, so kudos!

Dropping calories so drastically and instantly isn't always the best way. That said, you definitely need to drop calories to some extent, and learn how to eat cleanly. The best thing you can do right now is read the stickys, other threads here, etc. and then formulate your own diet plan. Post it up here for critique and we'll help you sort it out. Posting your workout and cardio routine (assuming you have one) will also be helpful.

One thing I want to clarify - dropping 25lbs by the end of October may be doable, but dropping 25lbs of BODYFAT in that timeframe is not. Please note the distinction. Dropping 25lbs via a combo of bodyfat and muscle mass (which severe caloric restriction will do if you don't know what you're doing) would not be an option for me.

i understand, im looking to just get down to weight fast due to the fact i have wrestling starting around that time.
i workout four days a week usually, dont really have a workout plan i just work a different part of my body everyday mostly and i run around 15 on the treadmill(increasing to 30-45 minutes this week)
i was lucky enough to get my hands on some D4 and T7 by Cellucor for free, so im going to seeing how that works. i was looking at a diet that i found in the stickys which im thinking about doing. I understand that 25 pounds is not possible and i will lose strength i just need to retain as much muscle mass i can, which is why i came here for tips and opinions on how to do just that.
