Thread: Duration of cycles

    Duration of cycles

Can anyone with experience try and give some honest answers to this cycle question. Most recommend 8-10 weeks of a cycle while others say that 12-16 also is quite common and it depends on the person. I know a few guys who have done 16 week cycles with proper AI and pct cycle and all had great gains and no side affects afterwards. So who's right on this theory? Or are both parties correct?

    It just depends...

There are so many variables to take into consideration...

I however will now be doing shorter but higher dosed 6-8 week cycles

The general rule of thumb is, the longer you are shut down, the harder it will be to recover. 8 - 10 weeks is most advisable, 12 weeks is pushing it & 16 weeks is over the top in my opinion.

How many cycles have you ran? I would suggest a 10-12 week cycle to see how things go also to see how you recover. With some experience you can go longer but everyone has different opinions on this. I like the 12 week range myself.

Most recommend a 12 week cycle as a start. One reason is that we recommend test only, and the most common type of test is either c or e, which are both slow acting. it takes a few weeks for blood plasma levels to stabilize and your body to start responding.

once you get into the groove of cycling, and know what you are doing, you can easily go with a short acting test esther like prop and do quiet well with an 8 week cycle.

An average cycle length is around 10-12 weeks, many of us experiment with longer cycles so we can monitor sides effects vs gains and to see how we recover from being shut down for longer periods of time. I use to leave many of my cycles open ended and stop them when gains started to slow or stop. I found out what I responded best to with regards to gains with the minimal sides but alot of experimenting was needed. One thing is for sure longer doesn't always mean more or better gains infact IMHO the opposite.

I much prefer running shorter cycles using compounds what I respond well to at a higher dose, this for me produced gains vs sides like no other cycle and for me this is how I built majority of my muscle mass. Some of my shorter cycles consisted of 30days to 6 week but always couple with a pre-cycle prime.
