I am shooting winnys 50mg EOD in my shoulders


I use a 30g with a 1/2 inch pin


is this too small.....

You can get away with a 1/2 inch in bi's, Tri's, and shoulders although I prefer an inch in shoulders.

i like at least 1" for everything. some people get lumps at 1/2", depends on bodyfat too, but deeper in the muscle the better.

Sometimes I am a big puss and give up at around 1/2 inch. At most it will be a little sore, maybe a small lump. Never had any complications with it though. For standard I would go deeper, but if you already have 1/2 inch pins then go for it.

Go with a 1"er and IMO I'd use a larger bore needle. A 30g is pretty small bro and not very durable. Smallest I'd go would be a 25g.

I shoot my Winny with 5/8 inch, and they go fine in the biceps and shoulders. I think you should okay, but be careful. Also, I use 25G, and it is not painful at all, I don't know why you went with 30G. Can the Winny even pass through that

As winny is water based it will flow thro a 30g with no problem and 1/2" is ok I normally use 3/4" or 19mm

Yeah, that is true, and it will go through since it's water based, I just meant like ripped4fsu said, it can sometimes get clogged up.

I would think it would clog too. I've clogged 25g pins with winny before, so I don't think I would bother with a 30. Also, I hadn't ever really thought about it, but one of you guys made a good point the other day when you mentioned that since slin pins are not real durable there is a chance that it could break off inside of you. Not good. So, I stick with slin pins for subq only.

Well i am on my 8th shot and no problems with the 30g......they are a little flimsy and I never thought of them breaking off.

also no problems with clogging...

23ga 1" pin is good for most, but I go with a 25ga 1" for water base injects.

just got a whole bunch of 25 g. 1 inch and 30 g one inch ....so i am goign to try the longer...

but I hear ya about the 25..i might stick wiht that so i dont go running around my house with a broken pin sticken out my arm ....

I pesonally use 23g 1.5 inch pins i do this because i can go in as deep as i want example if i only go in 1 inch i still have some sticking out incase the needle busts off and and i can inject anywhere i want with proper length regulation

yeah aratadog....that is why i am goign with the longer one...maybe not as long as 1.5 but longer than 1/2 inch I dont want that thinig breaking off in me...


that would be a pin in the ass to explain to my DR.
