    How Many Share Their Needles?

Ok so I'm reading all these stories over the net about how steroid users have a high incidence of HIV. and I'm going..WTF? I know this is BS but it is what the media is putting out these days. So after reading their scare tactic bogus stories, I see they narrow it down to steroid users who share their needles with other users. Now I don't know about you but needles are so cheap and dull so quickly that I can't imagine anyone sharing the same needle these days at all. So my question to the lounge is how many of you share their needles with others?

A few BB'ers were on the list I read as having HIV but I'm not sure if they were the ones you have posted. And I agree it's definitely manipulation and fear mongering. The way it was titled was as if the very use of steroids was going to somehow infect the user with HIV, so one had to read on deep into the story to understand their misuse of the wordings. Kind of reminds me of the government scare tactics of the 1940's over marijuana when they ran that mini movie in all the theaters throughout the US Called Reefer Madness. Thank fvck people then as now can see though all the BS and separate truth from fiction all on their own accords. And as Gixxer said I um my friend too have shared a couple of needles at my gym but only new ones which I um I men he gave them to be used once and thrown away. Normally I er um my friend don't keep needles on me since I er my friend don't have a legit script and aren't a diabetic, but I er he just happened to have them in my/his gym bag that day and helped a friend in need. A little PR goes a long ways in connections.
If I can find that article I'll post it, but it doesn't really matter cause in the end we all know they are just feeding BS to the masses and it helps paper sales.

Agree. I buy needles by the case. Right now, 4 or 5 cases of a variety of gauges, but my point is why would i give someone a used syringe? (If they are that broke, then how do they afford their gear?)

I wouldn't give them one, probably enough for them to last until they can get their own.

I'm highly skeptical of this claim....

Many AIDS patients get their gear for free....so why would they share a needle ?

Whoever wrote the article either A) Had their woman/man taken away by some ripped guy. or B) Jealous of people with better body then themselves.
Its easy to distort any infomation.

You know once I was in a supplement shop loading up on some supps, of course...anyway I heard the guy at the counter and another guy talking. The customer asked him if he knows where to get needles (you can't just walk into a pharmacy and buy them here, need to have a rx for some reason, although you can just order them online). The counter guy told him no and then related a story about how him and his buddies would have to share and reuse pins, and how bad it would hurt because they'd literally have to stab each other with the blunt needle.

Of course, me being the ass I am failed to mention you can just order a huge box of pins on amazon for like $20...jerk offs.

    There are idiots out there.

Greg Valentino. He says in a youtibe video that he would drop the pin on the floor, blow on it, and inject.

    Idiots are everywhere

    Injection Practices (Report)

    Taken from WILL LDY @MD

Media stories about the potential horrors of steroid abuse often include warnings of HIV and hepatitis infection, which are admittedly common among IV narcotic abusers. But steroid users don’t share needles…at least this is what steroid users will constantly say to such assertions. Studies of this trait among the bodybuilding community, however, are surprisingly light. This month we do get to review a paper coming from National Alcohol and Drug Research Centre in Sydney, Australia, which used an extensive survey to examine the injection practices of steroid abusers in Australia (Drug Alcohol Review, 2008, 1-8). The study found that 5 percent of steroid users had admitted to sharing needles with another person at least one time in the past. Of course, any percentage is alarming. It was interesting to note, however, that all of the 5 percent had used other injectable narcotics. In other words, none of the people who were steroid users only had reported this extremely dangerous practice. That is good news that rational heads tend to prevail in the steroid community. It wasn’t all perfect, though. Approximately 13 percent reported they had reused their own needles (an unsanitary practice) and approximately 30 percent had shared vials or bladders with other people. Australia does have giant 500mL bladders of testosterone, but this really isn’t justification to share a vial with someone unless you can be absolutely sure new needles are being used to draw every time. As always, be safe!

I switch needles if I have a problem while sticking. In other words, I won't even stick myself a second time with my own needle.
