Home Depot can suck mah d!ck!!!

Man, these fvckers have me steamin' more than a bucket of clams (love the corny reference, no?).

I'm in the market for a snow blower this year... not getting screwed with another one of these awful east coast winters we've been seeing the past few years.

So I did tons of research, and have my heart set on the Toro Powermax 726 OE. I was happy to see Home Depot carries the Toro brand, because this model is $999 and I'm not too keen on dropping that - but I do have a Home Depot credit card.

I went through the trouble of going to the post office and getting a 'change of address' form, because they come with a nifty 10% off coupon (for Lowe's, but Home Depot honors Lowe's coupons).

So i'm all pumped, get to the Home Depot - and it's not out on the floor. No problem - I ask the guy there and he tells me that all they have in stock is whatever is on the floor. Again, no problem - it's not snowing out yet. I'll order it and pick it up when it comes in - all is well.

I go to the counter and the woman first tells me that I can order it online. I explain that I have a coupon, so if I order it online I won't be able to use it. She then tells me it can ONLY be ordered online, not through the store. I'm like wtf... that sucks. She looks it up online through their system and then tells me "oh, and it doesn't look like this one qualifies for free shipping to your home" - i'm like no problem, just have it shipped here to the store and i'll pick it up. She tells me they can't do that, it has to be shipped to me directly.

WTF??? Do these people wanna sell a fvcking product, or not???

So now if I want to move forward, I not only lose the $100 off from the coupon, but have to pay an additional fee (hefty i'd imagine) for a 250lb item!

I thought of opening a Lowe's account, but they don't carry Toro. So it seems if I want what I want (and why should I have to settle for something I don't want when i'm already spending that kind of cash?), i'll have to pay upwards of $1300 for something I could be paying under $1,000. I HATE THOSE ASSHOLES!!

damn man, that's some bullsquash if i ever heard it! i would try to go over her head and ask for her manager and try to see what they can do about it, or call home depot directly and tell them your situation. maybe something can be done. never know unless you ask! do you have any wholesale heavy equipment dealers in the area? any grainger's or anything like that around?

I see only one way to handle this.
    Tim Mcveigh his ass.....
Rent a Home Depot truck, fill it with Cowshit, park it right outside the store, and light on fire.
Find a surviver in an orange apron, and ask politely if they now are willing to extend you some customer service and order that fvcking Toro Powermax 726.

jeez that sucks man. Im one for finding the best deals I can, and knowing I could have had it at 300 bucks less I'd be super pissed.... I live in Canada and get some bad winters, I can totally respect the need for a good snow blower!

You may not be interested in doing this, but I have found some good deals on craigslist in the past. Just gotta be careful and checkout the equipment. Last thing I got was a 7x10 rubbermaid big max storage shed. It was still in the box, and I paid half price.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'm gonna give their customer service a shot via the phone, we'll see where that goes. I don't have a good feeling about it panning out in my favor, but who knows, maybe i'll get lucky. Worst case, i'll open a Lowe's account and buy a Briggs and Stratton. The Toro has a B&S engine anyway.

Think it was a Lowes. But yeah. Back in Harrisburg, PA.

He acted innocent and said he thought it was a real and proper functioning toilet.

No legal action was taken. lol
