I did a batch on monday or tuesday night last week which i am eating today, no problem at all. I think longer then a week but dont hold me to it, as soon as this one runs out i am cooking for the entire week, lentils same thing, sweet potate as well, rice too. Those are the things i cooked since last week and they taste the same as the day i cooked them!!

funny you should mention this. Before i tell you this, I just want to say it drives my woman crazy when i do it.

I use the smell test. If it smells bad, I throw it out. If it smells OK, I still eat it. Meat will give off an odor long before you can get sick from it when you eat it.

Based on this, i've eaten chicken/turkey that's been in the fridge for over a week.

I use Uncle Ben's Brown Rice, rice cooker, for 2 cup of rice (dry) 4 cups of water, yesterday did 3 cups of rice and 6 cups of water and it was a bit wet, have to bring water down a bit when doing 3 cups at a time or do 2 cups at a time.

You pretty much have to play with it, to much water will be wet and pasty, to little water grains will be a bit on the hard side, so play with it until you get the amount of water needed. Rule of thumbs is 1.5 to 2 cups of water per cup of rice. Hope it helps!

brown rice - 2x the water to the amount of rice.....rice in cold water...bring to a boil and stir ...reduce heat to very low...cover (do NOT uncoiver for any reason) let sit for 45 mins on stove on very low heat. Turn off heat let sit for 5 more mins covered. Uncover - fluff rice with fork. Perfect every time.

With the cooker i guess it is, you put the rice in it, press the button that says "Brown Rice" let it go until is done. Thats what i do and it comes out perfect in my opinion, except for yesterday that i tried 3 cups instead of the usual 2.

Remember the amount of water, you can still mess it up if add to little or to much water, look at me 3 cups of rice added 6 cups of water, definitely to much water, next i'll try 5 cups of water. Should be good then

Yeah a cup is definitely american, is another form of measuring liquids specifically but also used to measure beans, rice, several other things, 1 cup = 8 fl oz, 1 cup = 16 tbsp (tablespoons), i wouldnt give you grams due to the fact that depending on what you are measuring, it could weight more or less. The "Uncle Ben's" package says a 1/4 Cup is more or less 48 grams which equals to 1 Cup of cooked rice give it or take.
