    Managed health care and juice?

I notice many members are quite honest with their doctors. I'm assuming that is with one primary care physician. Are there members that are open about their use with managed health care doctors (HMO's) that share medical history with insurers?

I use to have a family Doctor and I could tell him anything and everything knowing he's keep that info in my file for his eyes only. However now I'm on a different insurance plan with managed healthcare. My medical file is shared between various doctors and is available to the insurance company. I might be in need of a tin foil hat thinking the insurance company might jack my rates if I'm honest with their doctor. Thoughts? Experiences? Opinions?

    Thanks

Well, Since your Insurance company pays a portion of your doctors visit I would assume all information given to the doctor is also given to them. especially since the doctors notes/charts are now all scanned in electroniclly into a computer date entry file.

I asked my old dr about that. He said direction information unless for treatment is not give. example if I did a rec drug that might have effects on how I'm treated for such and such he needed to know but would not leave his office. The only way that it could have gotten back to insurance is if I needed treatment for something drug related.

I don't have a relationship with my "group" doctors so I really don't trust them.

While managed care sucks I'm happy I have health insurance, as many people I know don't.

In the US, anything you tell your doc can (and usually will) end up in that file that insurance companies have access to.

Don't mention anything about AAS or other illicit drugs unless you really have to, or you may just be denied coverage should you come down with just about medical condition that could possibly be linked to AAS.
I know several guys on the boards who have been denied by insurance companies because of past admission to illicit drug use (sometimes decades earlier).

If I need anything medically and its related to my cycle, I visit a random Dr - no arguments or lectures. You'll either have an understanding Dr thats like "Okay well I can't stop you but atleast I can monitor you" or you'll have an asshole that refuses to assist you unfortunately. Plus it'd be so awkward if my family Dr knew what I was running lulz ..

That's what I was thinking but I was wondering if I was just becoming conspiracy paranoid.

    Thanks for your input guys.
