Fitness pro super whey is good.. I love the strawberry flavour.. :-)
ProGrade is supreme but expensive. U can only get it online though.
Let's not forget about the night time!
Casein protein well known as “bed time protein” because it takes up to 7 hours to be absorbed by the body is a slow-digesting protein, it forms a “gel” in the gut, which results in a steady release of amino acids into the blood stream over time.
Since casein protein slowly enters the blood stream, it has very little impact on protein synthesis. It has a powerful effect, however, in suppressing protein breakdown. In other words, it’s an awesome muscle-sparing protein. This makes it ideal for times of the day where you do not need protein immediately, like before bed or mid afternoon/morning. Casein is not suitable for a post-workout drink!
I personaly take "first meal in the morning" and post-workout, 100% Whey Gold Standard.
As for “bed time protein” PROMIX from scitec wich is a protein mix of three sources: whey protein concentrate, casein and soy
protein isolate with various digestion rates.
Good luck!
Costco sells 6lb of quality protein powder for $30
I order from a site where you can customize your mix, like 20% whey isolate, 15% casein, etc. THey have all sorts of protein you can add to the custom mix. I think they are pretty good
I use whatever name brand whey concentrate I can find the cheapest. Useually I can find something for around $25 for 5 lbs. When I cant find that and i dont have any freebies I buy from the site mentioned above. I purchase Team Skip blend.
I wouldnt sweat the decision too much - to think one brand will yield better results than another just isnt the case IMO.
