    Scar tissue

Have any of you guys that have been on TRT for a while noticed any scar tissue? I have been on for 9 months now and I haven't noticed any difficulty in the wife pinning me so far. I only shoot in the glutes. So I was just wondering if anybody had developed scar tissue or if anybody had an idea on how long it took to develop scar tissue.

I was NEVER big fan of shots, I mean it was so extreme, I lied to my doc for years about my last tetnis(sp?) shot just so I would not have to take one. But when I went to see my other doc about TRT I though okay I will just have to psyche myself up to do this. Next thing I know the nurse is asking me which cheek. She pinned me and it was NOTHING. Didn't even feel it, so I was like okay that was cool. But I don't know that I could do anywhere else other than the glutes.

Some of the guys her do sub Q, I considered it but at the end of the day, the glute really is not a big deal and its quick. Some have talked of a lump going sub q that you need to rub down but goes away. I have been pinning for a litle more than a year now, always did the same side up until two months ago, and so far feels 100% normal. Now Im able to alternate each check so it only gets hit once every 14 days. I also had a MAJOR screw up one time and used an 18 gauge pin (dont even ask how that happened) but I thought for sure that was gonna scar but I cant even tell where I did it. trust me there was enough blood, my ass looked like a gunshot wound!

That had to hurt. the top of the vial needs counseling after an 18 ga hit. I'm rotating cheek and sub-q. Options are nice.

There are people who have been injecting insulin 60+ years, so the issue of scar tissue is a large one in their community.

Even with site rotation some scar tissue is inevitable if you are taking about decades of injecting. Seems the solution is to use a longer needle to inject under the scarring, or surgery to remove it. I hear the surgery is similar to liposuction, so it's not such a big deal.

I have it in some spots - I can feel the needle going through it - no pain associated with it, just a tad harder to push in.

If you're using the glutes, you could also try to do the quads which is a common site for self-injecting with TRT.

If you do once a week that is only 1 injection per month for each location. Probably not a huge issue for scar tissue, but you do raise a valid concern.

For about eight months I used a glute, illiac crest, quad rotation for 6 locations I.M. now have thrown SQ into the mix. might try some crazy SQ,IM combo, that would seem a sure bet to lesson scaring . Bullshark, tried the 18 guage once, not on purpose, never again, wow!
