Injection site

Hi guys, I just wanted to know in your opinion, how long does an intramuscular injection site( in the buttocks, upper outer quadrant) stay visible for, I took 1 cc of test e on Friday afternoon n can still see the site of injection, its a little red with the needle entrance spot in the middle, the visible area is only about1.5 mm in diameter, just wondering if this is normal as my 1st shoot was completely gone( not visible) after 1 day?

You may have been too tense leave that area alone until it recovers

Thanks for your reply, btw i was exstreamly sterial, i cleaned the área 1st then cleaned with alcohol pads, used 1pin to draw n 1 to shoot plus used ampules as a-posed to multi shoot vials, n used throw away hygienic gloves, is there any thing else I can do to be more sterile ?

What gauge did you use? I have never been able to see the pin hole. I can only imagine you're using an 18ga or something.

No mate, used a 21 g to draw. N a 23g to pin, can only see a pin prick where the shoot was given, no bump, no rash , no pain , a little tender if I press really hard but nothing out of the ordinary, o yeah n no fever, think I'm just being paranoid?

Just to clarify, there is no whole but just a dark spot the size of a pin prick, looks like an average kind of spot you would get on your glute, accept this was from the pin

No I think your right, I have a habbit of getting to paranoid about being super sterile n over thinking everything, il monitor it but like I said, no pain, warmness, itching, fever etc, thanks for your input mate.

I did my first 2 this week and just today my ass is feeling normal. I could barely sit it was so bad. Had the same as you described. No worries though. Just keep rotating. I'm scared shitless to do my shoulders this week

You can also try Emla Cream apply it 1 hour before injection just Google it
