Confidence & SQ question

Well guys my Testo-gel will be ready for me to collect on Friday so TRT here I come! As many of you know I have social anxiety yet hide it very well and people think I am confident. Well one main question here...... Will Test give me confidence?

Also I know Bass is a big fan of SQ shots......But just to make sure here! This is the same as an insulin shot I take it as in injecting with an insulin pin into the fat area around the stomach? Also I will be doing 150mg of Test Cyp a week via SQ, so is this good to go? Just want to double check as so many people say injectable AAS have to be administer via deep intra-muscular!?

You are correct on the sub Q shots.

As far as confidence goes, well I suppose everyone is different but I think most of us have gained varying levels of confidence for sure, for me it was a drastic change for some maybe just a little, depends on how bad you are. Of course with balanced hormones comes a lot more activity in the bedroom and that look on your wifes face will surely boost the heck out of your confidence level......dont worry bro, you're gonna be fine.

i alternate between SQ and IM depending on my mood, i don't think it makes a big difference in the end. 150 sq might be too much for one shot, you will definitely get a lump and may last for few days, but eventually will go away and you won't get them anymore. my recommendation is to split the dose to avoid lumps and soreness. remember to massage for about a minute or so. i use 28 g. x 5/8" slin pin, little easier to draw than a 29 or 30 g. i am sure you will feel better and hopefully get your confidence back. we're here to help you in anyway we can, so keep us updated!

brick , i'll admit im baffled by your posts now, i originally thought you came here looking for help with HRT due to symptoms from low test , yet here you are adding test injections to your gel , if you want to get bigger (as alot of your posts suggest) then dont mess about and do a full cycle , i dont think you have thought thought what you are doing (what you are doing adding injected test to gel is going to create problems for you )
how are you going to explain the massive test spike when your endo sends you for blood tests to see if the gel is working ?
who is going to do your blood tests for estro so you can monitor it on a regular basis ?
do you have a.i ready for the above? adding 150mg test to the gel will probably put you above any hrt protocol

dude, what you are doing seems to me to be just to get free test from your endo to add to an half assed cycle , this may sound harsh but its the reason that endos/ euros in this country wont help members of the BB comunity who genuinely need it.

apologies to any members in advance for this rant , getting hrt in this country is hard enough as it is.

You are going to be doing a gel and injections? Is that correct? I think something like that may be ideal, but I doubt if many doctors would go for it. Just think...you get the superior DHT conversion from the gel and you get the assured dosage uptake from the injection. Best of both worlds, in the right quantities of course.

several have tried both gel and inject together and didnt report anything extraordinary

I take it you are in the UK as well bud saying how hard it is to get HRT?

I will be very honest here and say I got some Cyp and some Clomid tabs before I went to see the Urologist as I was sure he was not going to help......After a long chat with him he reluctantly sent a note to my Dr saying to put me on 'Testo-Gel' . Now me being me wants to have the best results as I think we all do. I have read not that many good reviews on Gel so I thought I could use the Gel as prescribed and say 100-150mg of my Test C per week to bump my levels up even higher? Reason for this is I have suffered for 11 years next month with low self esteem, lack of confidence, low sex drive, irritable.....the list goes on!! So I thought I would make sure it will work and ok I am adding my own Test into it but just want to feel normal with confidence again. My urologist is getting my blood works done in 12 weeks time to see how I am getting on with the Gel......He really did not want to put me on anything and said I fell into the 'normal' range (9.6 -30.5......I am 10.7 so very low yet considered 'Normal!')

I think most of us have at one time or another, experimented a bit with our TRT, so I am not gonna "badmouth" you for giving this scheme a try. Just know that you are going to need to take a break from your injectible about 3 weeks before your next bloodwork...unless you want your doctor to know what you have been up to.

Brick, guess I missed something, doing both???? Why? If you shoot 150mg of Cyp every week, actually as Bass says if you Sub Q your def gonna want to do it twice per week, half dose. This is a fairly common/appropriate dose for people which are truely low T. Not saying you are not on the low end but this could very well put you if not at the top end but actually over. As many here say "more is not always better"!! As said above, hope you have A.I. on hand, this could be a real monster for you if you dont. Suffer from anxiety and confidence, imagine what you could be like if your E2 is off the charts because of elevated Tes getting converted. My advice would be stick with the injectable @ 150 per and see how things go. One thing is for sure, if anything else you will definetly get the "placebo effect" initially in that knowing you are adding Tes will/should bump your confidence level up. Happens to virtually all of us initially, even the most confident types. Sometimes its best to take small steps before you sprint. Good luck!

yup im in the uk
i wont say i understand what you have been thru , as i dont know, i do have a rough idea tho as ive beem thru something similar. you have been given alot of useful info from experienced ppl on here , i would say 99% if not 100 % would agree that you need the endo / uro on your side , which , by adding another source without his knowledge you are not giving him a baseline to work from, when he finds out you will lose his support altogether , hrt is for life , you need his / her support to get your levels correct and to monitor for other things that can go wrong.

afaik the reason most ppl get started on gel in this country is to see how your body reacts to the external test , if you have a bad reaction the gel is out your system in a day or so , once you inject with something with a 7 day or more halflife , if you have a bad reaction -well you get the idea.....
ppl are trying to tell you , test gets converted to estrogen , by adding more test to what you have been prescibed you could be making yourself worse not better as both low and high est has similar symptoms , i've alrdy stated , who is going to monitor this for you? do you have an a.i rdy? , how are you going to track it? , the endo wont order tests all the time for you as far as hes concerned you should not be getting conversion to that degree with what hes prescribed, he sees high numbers and he will know you are adding to it .
on the other hand say that the gel+test togther work fine , thats great, however the endo will think its just the gel thats working great for you , are you gonna buy the extra test for the rest of your life to add on top ?

Thank you Pugster for the help there. He said if I felt better after 12 weeks then I could come off the Gel as my body would be ok again, I thought that was a bit strange as I thought it was long term? As for the AI...... I have Clomid, is that ok to use or would you go with something like Tamoxifen?

Your body WILL NOT be OK again when you come off TRT.........this stuff is maddening to me, healthcare professionals who tell their patients that they can use Test for a while and then come off and be "healed" or "OK" ought to be subjected to that treatment themselves and see how it works out for them.

Brickhouse, I don't know everything about your situation or what it takes to get treatment their but make no mistake, if you NEED TRT ......it's for life, unless you want to go back to feeling like you did before.

Anastrozol is a good choice for an AI, it can bought through Indian pharmacies at a decent price.

me too JD, this gets me ticked off every time i read this stuff. how is it that we the patients know so more than doctors is beyond me!

Thank you JD and Bass......That is what I thought that TRT is for life. When I said about long term use he said after 12 weeks my body will be ok again. I also mentioned Test C and E whilst I was there and asked if that would be a better choice......He said he has never used either of those for TRT and only uses Gel. I also asked if I could have my full bloods done so I knew where my E2 was and all my Tests, he said I only needed to worry about the one figure and that was the one for Test that varies from 9.6 - 30.5 for my age. The only way to go in this country is to go private as the NHS really do not show any real concern.

brick you really have too little knowledge to be messing around with this and are going to make yourself alot worse, you have have convinced yourself that this is going to cure all your problems , its not.

i have tried to advise you in my previous posts , i included in your original posts (not this thread) all the links for the info you need to back yourself up when talking to a doctor in the UK (most GPs dont know guidlines but they will listen to them) .
going and demanding test injections and loads of tests is going to get you nowhere , all you are doing is reinforcing their belief that this is a mental health problem not a physiological one (its probably a combination of both)

*again im just trying to help you as in the spirit of these forums , but you are taking no notice of anyone unless they reinforce what you want to hear , this will be my last post in any of your threads as a: im starting to look like a stalker b: you are taking no notice anyway .
