Our bodies become conditioned to 'get hungry' when we follow a fairly rigid eating schedule (as most of us in this game do). e.g. let's say I always eat 400 calorie meal at 8am, and another 400 calorie meal at 11am, and I always start feeling hungry right around 10:30am or so... perfect, right?!?! Now let's say that after following this for a while, I eat an 800 calorie meal at 8am. I guarantee you i'll still feel hungry around 10:30am, although based on what I have been doing for X amount of time, my body surely doesn't 'need' calories at this time.
