estrogen levels on trt

so a freind just got his bw back after being on trt for 3 mos of 250mg of test cyp everty 2wks.didnt get his test
tested just estradiol.does this seem high for trt?should he add a littl AI??

His Estradiol (if a Sensitive Assay) is over the reference range. He needs to be on an AI.

Is this cat under a Physicians care or is he self medicating?

gd- thinking the OP is referring to Total Estrogens.

If so, then we would need estradiol itself to comment much.

In a male, E2 is the large majority of estrogen. If the range is <150, he got the female test and not the male sensative test; however, with that high of estrogen it doesn't matter which test he got.

srry guys i knw really he should be on here askin thses questions but you knw how some guys are.im just trying to help my buddys out .anyways he says hes in thr high range for his test levels just below normal.and yes his doc is giving him his shots .and the bllood test is the same one i got as well for my estrogen.is this the wrng one?its the one my doc sent me in for too.and just wonderign how much AI u think he should be using along side his trt?he has access to dex. and than follow up with bw after how many wks after that?i know his doc should prob be tellin him all this not me . and outaa the range 150< what range u think would be ideal?

At 250mg every two weeks his serum levels are at peak then trough in a wide range so I could very well see where his E2 levels could be high as it's the perfect scenario for aromatization to happen.

as already stated i agree it would be a rare man not to need an AI doing 250mg shots of test at a time for TRT

its estradiol .i got the same test .mine came in at 169 150< but im running 600 test a wk and .25 dex eod..... anywyas any ideas on how much AI he should start running and how long aftr to get follow up bw done?thx again

I'd like to offer some suggestions, but let me get this straight:

Your buddy is running, I mean using 125 mg test/week and his level is just a little higher than yours, and you are using 600mg test week?

The "normal value" for estradiol from the lab you use is <150? So do they tell you if you come out at say, 125 that's OK?

hes running 250 every 2 wks his test levels r in the high range for him.i run 600 wk mine r off the chart.yes his estro is a bit higher than mine i guess since he doesnt run an AI.i run dex .25 eod. yes norm from our lab is 150<. im lookin for recomendations on whr to start hikm off with the dex .i guess his doc is a bit clued whn comes to this im not sure.
