Fruit, ok as a snack or part of an inbetween meal??

I like apples and melon. Is it ok to have like an apple or maybe some melon when I feel a little hungry, usually later in the day when my meals are lighter and no carbs. I only eat carbs in morning and early afternoon. I am cutting right now.....

Just wondering if there are any rules of thumb when I shoulndt be eating fruit past a certain point and time say like 8 oclock........?

when cutting i wouldnt recommend eating fruit at all.. fruit contains fructose which is sugar and spikes insulin... i believe sugar is stored as glycogen in the liver which doesnt have a large capacity... therefore when its full the extra is stored as bodyfat...

if ur gonna have fruit i would limit it to meal 1 or around ur workout but like i said IMO fruit is a "no-go" while cutting.. i consider and treat it as a cheat...

for example im carb cycling rite now and on my refeed day have 1300g carbs in 24hrs.. im only allowed 50g of fructose out of the 1300...

When cutting, I keep fruits limited to my 1st meal of the day and/or pre/pwo. One of my goals is to keep sugar intake as low as possible, and any way you slice it, most fruits are high in sugar - regardless of other nutrients, fiber, etc. I can get those nutrients from veggies without all the sugar.

I usually eat my apple or melon with some peanuts, at around 330-4pm and then hit the gym to Lift at 5.

if you must eat fruit you should combine it with complex carbs for a more appropriate gly***ic load. I would consume your fruit at 430-500 if you train at 5.

That's a pretty awful pre workout meal!
