Needle Filters

If I use an ampoule opener, will I need to use needle filters as well? Are there still bits of glass in the ampoule?

I've never used a filter either. Never used an ampoule opener. Seems alot of amps are scored for opening reducing the chance for glass.

iv'e never used either. funny. i've got a bandaid over my thumb right now because i just crack open the amps with my fingers, and this one exploded, cutting me a bit.
