Question about carbs before sleeping and insulin

After reading up and researching a good bit im still confused on why some people say no carbs before sleeping and why some say to have carbs before sleeping.

I know this falls under the macros that you have to achieve for that day.

But say for instance someone like me and plenty of others on this website who are close to the 4000+ TDEE almost need this last bit of cramming in of carbs to finish off the day.

So would having complex carbs before sleeping with a good bit of protein allow insulin to have a steady flow and help shuttle the amino acids into the muscles to help them grow? Or would this cause a side effect of causing the body to try and store the extra carbs and proteins as fat per say?

BTW thanks everyone on here for helping me figure out my diet with the threads and stickies. Helped me figure out why I was stuck at 195 lbs I just need a good bit more food added into all my macros for the days!

When trying to gain weight/add mass, I'll have carbs before bed - on workout days. On non-workout days, I still have carbs but keep them focused in the earlier part of my day.

When cutting, I don't have carbs at all before bed. I'd prefer to keep insulin release blunted and allow fat to be better mobilized.
