Introducing myself, wanting to join the Female only Forum

Hi my name is Carie, this is the first time I've ever joined a forum, of any kind. My husband has been reading and researching for the last 6 - 8 months. He hasn't even joined yet, but has encouraged me too. Here's my story and why I'm here. I'm 44 years old. I have 6 kids, 5 pregancies. Their ages are 23, 22, 8, 7, twins will be 5 in July. I've had 4 girls in 3 1/2 years. My last pregancy I was 39 years old, I feel as though I've never recovered from it, completely. I have tried my family doctor, she ran tests and everything looked good. Wanted to put me on anti-depressants, said my body was depressed from everything I've put it thru and the last few years, you know not as young as you used to be. Couple weeks ago I went to HRT Clinic and had a consultation and blood work done. I have me results and I would like to post them and get some advice. My doctor said my hormone levels are fine and meet the standards. The consultant at the HRT Clinic wants to increase my levels, at least 4 times what they are. I'm not sure what to do. I really believe that I need to make some adjustments. I have tried to change my diet, exercise, take vitamins, etc. When I start exercising or even dieting I literally crash within 7 - 10 days. I'm so exhausted I can't get out of bed. I can't lose weight, I have about 20 lbs to lose from last pregancy. I have mood swings, decreased libido, major fatigue, decreased muscle mass, the list goes on. I would really appreciate being able to chat in is forum. I'm looking for help and advice from women that have been through this. Thanks for your time, please let me know if I need to provide any other information. Thanks again!

    Welcome to the board luv!
You are the same age as my woman, and we/she will be going through hrt in the near future. We have an extremely knowledgeable female member that I respect very much in this area. she's not on here very much, and damn if my alzheimers aint kicking in right now, and i can't remember her name, so let me go ask around and see if i can't find out for you. from what you describe, it almost sounds like you are going through "the change". Not sure, my woman hasn't went through it yet. Anyways, I'll ask around and see if we can't get her to jump in here for you.
    Cheers

    ty for the pm TR...
sadly I cant recall her name~but here a list of a few other gals that maybe able to help:

    rollergirl
    little girl
    LILhotE‎
    khulk
    kawi

Wish I could help but my brain just does not seem to retain all that techno mumbo jumbo

    welcome hiscarebear (cute name!)
Try and contact one of the above gals for input, it will take a while b4 they respond, the girls are not as active on the boards ...be patient and continue to ask lots of questions sweetie

Also we must be pink before posting in the lady section and this too takes time...once in, you may find what you seek, but we are so individual that you really need feedback specific to you.

Read old threads on HGH and libido and you may find some great starter info while you wait for responses...
i know that as a mom you want to problem solve fast and do what needs done as soon as possible lol but this will be a lengthy process from what I know...

Attachment 124008 but know this ~ baby you ARE NOT ALONE lol females are so emotionally, hormonally, etc. different than men and even each other , what your experiencing is repeated on the gals forums in different ways 100x over
((Gawd it would be nice to slap some test on and just be hunky dory on top of the world lol))

While going through your DR and HGH clienic experiences, would you mind posting your experiences here ?
any info or trial and error IS GREAT knowledge for other and future members...it could truly help out another lady in your position <3 also keeping a thread active will increase your odds of being noticed by the rite person that could help you and having the details of your results feedback will help you get targeted instructions and better results.

Stay focus stay dedicated don’t loose hope we will try and help you through this!

Hello, Thanks for the link, incredibly interesting. I tried to respond to the thread above but it wouldn't let me. I have been researching and numerous times people have posted to get Suzanne Somers books. I chose her book Ageless (which was written in 2006) I felt this book would give me more information regarding hormones and everything, and not just weight loss or nutrition. It took me only a couple days to read, I couldn't put it down. I had read at least 10 chapters and thought I should be taking notes, then realized that I would have to rewrite the book, ssssooooo much information, need to read it at least 5 more times to absorb everything. Here's some of the key points I got so far.... Western Medicine (Standard Medicine) looks at your hormone levels on a average basis, for me my doctors looking at my hormone levels and telling me that I am within the normal range for a 44 year old. Which every 44 year has declining hormone levels. Thyroid Hormone is actually one of the most over looked hormones. Standard levels are so far off and most doctors base your results on the standards. Also most doctors don't look at the whole picture. We have 10 hormones that need to be balanced. And low libido is one of the side effects of almost every hormone. But all of our hormones work together os if one is off and can cause another to be off, and so on and so on...... The first thing I'm working on is a GI track cleanse, to remove all of the toxins from my body. I have 2 different doctors to interview for the bio=identicial hormone replacement. I know the hormone replacement is going to be expensive in the beginning, but once I get going and become more in tune with what my body needs it, the cost should drop down. One of the other things I learned is that vitamins and the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) is so far off, our bodies need so much more than that. I have always hated taken pills of any kind, but it's a must at this point. My husband has always called me a brainy-ack, boy I feel incredibly ignorant when it comes to my own body, This forum and Ageless was my eye opener, I have a long way to go. but I'm actually looking forward to it. I hope some of what I learned helps!! Have a great and blessed day!

yea SM suggested the books to me as well REALLY ENJOYED THE (but some of it was over my head lol), susan is a smart cookie ~ who wouldda guessed
I do this too... the fastest cheepest easyest way (IMO) is the salt water flush. mix 2 tables spoons sea salt (no idionzed salt) with 16oz purifyied water...chugg it all down..gag reflex will be strong but walk it out ~ next thing you know 45min later your on the can and feeling 5lbs lighter cuz your bod just expelled everything thats not attached lol

thats what i got from it and the board members as well.. and its kindda what i think im going through...

    best of luck women

Welcome. Once you get your test results post them here or in the anti aging and hormone replacement forum. That will trigger some helpful responses from other members and I'll help in any way I can. I have had five children so we have some things in common.
