Can gear cause hairloss even if you are taking a DHT blocker?

    Hey,

I have mild hairloss (normally) which was being successfully blocked with proscar.

I am a few weeks into my first cycle and I am noticing a lot of my hair is coming out.

I need to know whether taking more proscar would fix it.
I am currently taking half a tablet a day, which is what is recommended for both steroids
and normal hairloss. - I was recently told by a pharmacist that doses above half a tablet
were found not to help further (that would not be considering steroids though)

I definitely don't want to lose a significant amount more so would like to know now..

You can't 'fix' androgen related male pattern baldness. The whole issue of hair loss is hereditary (genetic), you need to posess the genes for it, which would make you more likely to activate it if you do a cycle. If you happen to be very sensitive to it, you can very well still lose hair even with a DHT blocker. All DHT blockers do is disable the 5-alpha reductase enzyme, which is the enzyme that is responsible for converting testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. DHT is far more androgenic than testosterone... however, testosterone itself is still quite androgenic and can activate the MPB gene as well (it just does not have as great of a binding affinity to androgen receptors on scalp as DHT, but it is still there).

I think you should look into getting Nizoral 2% shampoo and use it on a regular basis. It acts as an androgen receptor agonist in scalp tissue.
