    Absolute WORST voices in Rock

    Title says it all.

I'm going to start this off by suggesting the first two that come to mind, and why

Brian Johnson of AC~DC - he's never had a strong voice, and he's been squeezing/pinching it so hard for so long i'm almost positive it bleeds after every concert

Neil Young - if you like hearing a man sing in falsetto, and not very well, the Neil is your bloke. His music is good, and somehow he makes it work

I don't think Lemmy from Motorhead will be on American Idol anytime soon.

Bob Dylan comes to mind as well ...

I think Brian Johnson just crushed it on Back in Black, and even For Those about to Rock. After that though, it just went downhill real fast!

I remember when Bon Scott died. Even have the recorded radio broadcast announcing his death. I was soooo ready for AC~DC with back in black. But here lately, BJ's voice box is so scarred, and strained, and weak sounding, it's such a shame.

    And agree with Bob Dylan.

ho shiit!! I get shudders, even to this day, when i hear Janis sing Summertime!!!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrOA7dLyZlM

Janis was a unique talent. She was just a tad bit before my time to see her live in concert, but she had more heart than any other vocalist i've ever heard.

I'm listening to it now, and chills run up and down my spine!!!!!

this link is not her best effort for this song, but some of you older bulls, this will be good enough to know what I am saying....

he was a total oddity even during the hippy era. other than being featured occassionally on Laugh In, he received minimal attention.

    So let me ask you....

....why have you kept his album all these years? =)

That is true his live stuff is completely diff from now. Even Phil has managed to stay the same over the years and well he took a whole mountain more drugs and drink than the whole of Metallica put together. Me and a buddy were just chatting about metallica tonight was weird. He was back stage before for them in the early 90's on the black album tour it was great to watch but after that I think they kinda got a bit diva like and well Lars is just a dickhead and they are a strange band no one seems to like each other at all for some reason.
