    Creatine and Caffeine

    I bought something called "Pre-Workout Ignition" basically it is creatine and caffeine. I take it before a workout and it seems to get me going. However I have read that caffeine counteracts creatiene and thus is a bad mix- even more, is a bad product?

    Can someone explain a little more on this, thanks.

    in a nutshell
    creatine helps your muscles hold more water, this a big part of its benefit
    caffiene has diuretic effects
    so some beleive that its a bad mix (opposite effects)
    its not that big of a deal, just drink a lot of water

    Well said. If you drink plenty of water daily you have no worries.

    Drink water at least a gallon a day and I'm sure you'll be great. lol

    this product seems like it wouuld be very expensive compared to buying seperately
    creatine mono
    couple cups of "at home" coffee?

    Supplement companies put crap in their supplements all the time that works against each other. You really gotta do research or you waste your money

    But does the caffeine counter the effect of what the creatine is supposed to do?

    For example, if I stack Jacked wit Con-Cret... will I just be shooting myself in the foot and just wasting money because the caffeine is ruining the creatine?

    TR and GymMonster, correct me if Im wrong
    But I think what theyre saying is its not like caffeine is just gonna suck all the water outta you from a couple hundred milligrams, as long as you drink enough water youll be fine.
    The average person needs 2liters of water a day, to rehydrate. Creatine uses that water, so make it 3 liters to be safe. Caffeine dehydrates you a lil, so add another liter for a little more wiggle room, and that equals a gallon

    So he called it good at one gallon a day

    Did I get that about right guys?
