Serious question. I think my 20 year career as a chemical service tech has about run out.
I am thinking I will be looking for a new gig in the next year or so. Always good to hear what jobs, careers, niche gigs folks have discovered.

You hear a lot of stuff in the press about how companies are not hiring laid off workers and that only currently employed job seekers are able to get past the screening process to actually interview. Has this been your experience down in N. Carolina?
Frankly I would be surprised as I have long thought the SE United States has an edge in worker productivity that has drawn some very large manufacturers. Even with the down economy car and aircraft sales seem to not be completely in the tank
