Injecting hCG in abdomen got a little bloody.

I am using a 1/2" needle to SQ inject into my abdomen and thought I didn't need to aspirate and sure as shit I was just about done injecting and blood went back into the syringe. I completed and a blob of blood was at the stick point. I am sticking about 1-2 inches from my navel and pinch up a little skin to do so. Should I apply a different technique?

Stay away from the navel...that area is full of blood vessels and veins as you discovered.

Pinch your love handles and inject.

Much safer and far less painful.

1 inch from the navel and 1 inch spacing both sides rotating spots. Sub-Q injections do not need to be aspirated, you must not have pinched before injecting.

I was thinking of that area but wasn't sure. I think that will be the area I will going to. I am trimming up so my pinching is getting harder and harder.

Iron - I did pinch like always, I must of just hit a vessel.

Since I'm on the topic, I am currently injecting my test in my buttocks, alternating week to week. Should I be concerned about skin or muscle atrophy? I read that prolong injection in any area can result in this, any truth to it?

I rotate between quads, delts, and glutes. Skin or muscle atrophy has never been an issue for me, Im mainly worried about scar tissue thats why I rotate 6 sites.

You need to remember that somtime you pass through vessels that send blood back into the syringe after you are through injecting and/or pulling back out through them. I wouldnt worry about it, but it may cause bruising. I have passed through lots of vessels doing IM in the legs (not on purpose), vessels just below the skin. What happens is I aspirate, nothing, inject, then pull out... and as I'm pulling out thats when I see it pool in the needle to top of syringe... Bottom line, this isnt something to be scared about, just remember to aspirate next time.
