NYPD drug screening

I was wonering what kind of drug screening the NYPD does for new comers and if they tests for gear. The only gear I'm on is Test E and what kind of panel does this fall on.

Please exlpain to me what is the differences between panels and which gear will show up on the drug screening

Probably like 99.9% of companies that do drug tests don't test for steroid use. They are mainly testing for people with substance abuse that makes you intoxicated such amphetamine, barbiturates, THC etc etc...But if I had to guess I would assume that if any facility was to drug tests for steroids it would most likely be a police department since they are "The Law"...So you might be in that .1% who might get drug tested for it..

And unfortunately, possesion of steroids is a pretty serious charge as it is classified as a Schedule III narcotic. Even though you may think steroids isn't such a big deal the court of law surely doesn't see it that way. Anyone charged with possesion of a Schedule III narcotic will be charged with a felony and can even spend up to 5 years in prison. Pretty ridiculous..

Okay, but still look at Ronnie Coleman as a referrence. He worked as a police officer for years and one look at tat guy anyone knows he is using. Not to mention, he was a PRO BODYBUILDER AND MR. OLYMPIA TITLE HOLDER. How could his department not know?? Ha ha so maybe they don't test for steroids...Or they really just don't care.

To be honest with you the thing they are really worried about is drug users that I mentioned above. I personally know SO MANY cops that use steroids and they say a lot of others do too. So as long as you have no other drugs in your system and they think your a great dude I don't think it's a big deal.

In fact, I know many cops who believe it is almost necessary as their job requires them to be put with harmful situations which require life or death out comes.

Some PDs have written policies against sworn members using aas. They will check for roids. But as stpete said, the only way to know for sure is to ask. Call or email nypd human resources and they should be able to tell you.

yes, NY started testing for steroids. NJ started recently too
