If any of you remember from my previous threads I have been having a running battle with my doc over treatment.Specifically her reluctance to prescribe an AI.I gave her several printouts from here and other places of things to read and didn't hear back for almost 2 months.I made an appointment for 9/6 to confront her about it and to get a referal for a new doc and to my surprise she sent me a letter about it.It basically said thanks for your patience in this matter. It has been very busy in the office do to being a doc short on maternity leave and I was out of the office for 2 weeks.I have read all the material and talked to a colleague who practices alternative medicine and am willing to send you to an endo if you wish and if you don't find one you like I will give a short trial of arimidex.I am shocked but happy too.So instead of a confrontation it looks like we will be working together. It gets better.I asked her to write a letter of medical necessity for my test to the insurance company and I got approval for that too.I'm on a roll.
So with that being said she wants to send me for labs and to only check Vit D,PSA,estradiol serum, estradiol free, and test free and total. She has never tested hematocrit and I am curious about it after reading about it on the board. What else would you guys suggest?Should I test before I get the AI to see where I'm at or test after taking the AI for awhile? My E2 last test was 67 (range 7.63-42.6)test 805 (range 300-890).I have never shown syptoms of high E except for holding a little water.Could it drop on it's own?I seem to remember one of the guys on here saying they used to take an AI but no longer need it.It might have been Bass or Vette or Gdevine.Don't remember.I am taking 50mgs test cyp every 3.5 days and it has been working well with no low spots.
