Thread: Me before and after on "Max Mass" shakes. Want more muscle.

  1. #1

Me before and after on "Max Mass" shakes. Want more muscle.

I've been taking this "Max Mass" from SEI for about 2 months now. I always double what's recommended (the guy who I use to live with told me it's always better to double on shakes) and I've seen a little difference, but not much. Now, I'm not too interested into juicing up just yet, I still want to wait a little while. I've read some posts on here about what it can do to your body before you're finished growing, and with that said, I just want to thank everyone for all the info I've learned here in just a few days. But here are some stats and pictures of before and after.

Also, with this post, I'm looking for some criticism. I want you guys to let me know what you think, and possibly some opinions on what would be great to help bulk me up (supplement wise).

The picture of me sitting down with a drink in my hand is when I was 17. About 140lbs. and 5'9". Sorry if I couldn't get anything better (flexing), I don't have many pictures of me back then. The other pictures are recent. I'm 18. Still about 140 - 145lbs. (I've always weighed between 130 and 145 since I was 15) and 5'10"

Nothing incredibly different, but I do see more muscle, IMO anyways. I'm sorry for the face on one of the pictures, me and a friend were making angry faces lol

I've been on and off from the gym for 2 years. 3 months in, 3 months out, 6 month in, 2 months out, etc. <--- Hope you get the picture of my off and on gym habit. And I recently did a BF calculator on the computer (I don't know how reliable those are) and it said I have 13% body fat.

If I happened to leave out any important details, please let me know. I'll try my best to answer them as correctly as I can.

    What exactly are you asking?

What can help me get bigger, quicker> I want to keep the Max Mass, but I want to do something else as well. I don't feel like the mass is doing so much for me and steroids is out of the question since I'm so young. I'm not trying to mess my body up to the point of no return.

Good training and good diet you will get there trust me!
First off the most important thing is to learn about diet as that is what fuels your muscles and makes them grow!!

I use to eat a lot of McDonalds but I wouldn't say much anymore, I eat a lot of TV dinners that are suppose to be nutritious and I work at a Mexican restaurant so I eat a lot of chicken and beef when I'm on clock.

Should I post it there with all the pictures too? Or just how I eat?

Just post height weight age and your diet. Your diet should consist primarily with food and then you 'supplement' to get to your goal. If your diet is bang on then you shouldn't have any need for any supps, even whey. (this is easier said than done)

Sounds like you don't know how to eat for growth yet, which is fine as we all had to start somewhere. I think you will be impressed on how much you will progress with the right food.

Mass gainers won't help much unless your goal is to increase body fat. Most gainers are loaded with artificial sweeteners that spike your insulin response and promote fat retention, which in theory, will lead to increased mass, just not the kind of mass most people are interested in (unless your goal is to get fat, in which case, McDonald's certainly would do the trick and be less expensive, lol).

In almost every case, people who don't gain lean muscle, simply don't eat enough. Check the nutrition section, post an expample of your daily eating habits - i.e. what you eat, when, as well as total calories and macros. You Are what you EAT. It's not enough to eat. You need to eat enough of the right foods and macros to accomplish your goals.

I'd like to think I eat right, but I know I don't. I know some foods are good, but I wouldn't have a single clue on how to make a proper shopping list of healthy food to get. I'll be sure to make a post in the nutrition section.

When I was your age, I went from 140'ish to 170 within a couple of years by eating enough of the right foods and working my ass off. No weight gain shakes for me at the time either. It was a lot of meat, eggs, dairy, and good carbs. Not McDonalds. Count your calories and I bet you'll see you fall way short of what you need. Also, if you don't keep eating and training, you will lose everything. I am a perfect example and now am back at 140 as a 34 year old man.
