Do newbs like me with virgin muscle always get knotted/ pain/ on injections

Hey pinned my right glute well a gf/ nurse I Know did.
She put only about 1 Ml in me and did not take ten seconds pre ML . prob put in too fast.

It did not hurt at all when pinned only 12 hours or so afterwards. I thought this steroid stuff/ pinning was going to be a breeze.
Then started to swell and hurt very bad for past week. Past few days it has not hurt that much and almost gone.

I"m due to pin again and hope that somehow its not as bad as last time.
I"m going to pin my left glute/ butt muscle next...
So I should rotate right?

Also will have her inject slower this time.

There are a few reasons for PIP. Sterility, volume of oil injected, speed of injection, needle gauge, and length as mentioned, location of injection, quality of gear/oils being injected. Lots of factors. Check out z track injections too. There's always the slin pin method also.

What length pin? Either way if it's 1 or 1.5" it typically goes all the way in to ensure you're in a muscle. ALWAYS aspirate!

No way would I use 1/2 of a 1" pin in glute that's nowhere near deep enough to get right I to the muscle

No it will not always hurt, maybe your first few in the virgin muscle. If you're new try your quad. You can take your time and pinning alone is much easier.

if i may speak for most of us, its happened to us all in the beginning. even a small black and blue sometimes occur. try not to pin the same area if its still sore and like the guys said try and make sure that your in the muscle!!

My girlfriend did my first injection for me (right quad). 3 hours after the injection my leg swelled up like a balloon. After that, they were a lot more bearable.

I've been lucky with pip. The only time I seem to get it is when I goof.

Yeh just did second injection myself in on leg / thigh and no blood when pulled out and aspirated ok too.

I think maybe she did not get in the muscle as I had alot of swelling above skin which means maybe she did not hit muscle too?

What a first injection. Maybe cuz its newbie muscle too but maybe she did not get in muscle due to swelling rising above normal skin level right?
