    I'm 34 yrs old. 5' 9" & weight 180.
    My bf% is 20.
    I workout 5-6 days
    My diet:
    5:30am oatmeal & 2 boiled eggs
    8:30am protein shake with oatmeal
    11:30-12:00 chicken/fish Brown rice
    3:30 peanut butter sandwich
    6:30-7:00 chicken/fish sweet potatoes/Brown rice
    Question: what is the ideal bf% to start my first cycle?

    1) your diet is very bad. I wouldnt even think of cycling until its fixed. If you cycle I promise you will lose everything you gain, if you gain anything at all.

    2) 15% of less is a safe zone for gear. Keeps sides down.

    Can someone tell how best to fix my diet? I'm new to the workout / diet world and everything I've done till now is what i've learned from asking or reading.

    Regardless of your goals (gain/cut), tdogg is offering great advice. Gains & loses are made in the kitchen. You have to eat to grow and eating properly is essential to lean body mass.

    Nutrition is the foundation upon which success (or failure) happens. Seek advice on improving your nutrition in the nutrition forum, read up on various compounds, their risks and benefits and when you are locked in to an optimal nutrition plan, post a proposed cycle for feedback and you'll be putting all the appropriate pieces together!

    Have you been loosing weight? If so stick to it. It takes time. Dont expect results over night. It takes time to put the weight on it will take time to take it off. Just be patient. I always say it's a marathon, not a sprint.

    I agree with the 15% or less. You will get better results.
