Tapering off slowly after cycle instead of doing PCT. Good plan?

    Got this from T nation:

PCT Option 2 (Test Stasis and Taper)
W 10-12 Off (if your cycle was enth 2 weeks is enough to drop down to normal levels)
W 13-14 Test Enth 40mg E3D (stasis portion to mimic normal hormone levels)
    W 15-16 Test Enth 30mg E3D (taper portion)
    W 17-18 Test Enth 20mg E3D
    W 19-20 Test Enth 10mg E3D
is this a good idea? I've never read anything about it here (or I might be blind ) so it makes me really curious to what the vets have to say about it.

You don't need a vet to tell you that's ridiculous. As long as you have exogenous test in your system you are shut down. So, shutting yourself down for 20 weeks, this is your idea of recovery? I've now thought about it for an entire minute and it seems even stupider with every second. PCT drugs along with HCG during the cycle are what will make your natural production begin again as fast as possible. This is more important for retaining your gains as well as the health of your nuts/dick than the cycle it's self. With Test E start standard Tamox/clomid (or Torem) 14 days after your last pin. Run HCG at 250 i.u.'s twice a week right up to the day before PCT begins. Take plenty of vitamin C to combat cortisol and your sorted. Whatever T Nation is I would stop taking advise from them/him as he is a dangerous idiot. No offense to you, there are no such things as stupid questions but this is an example of an incredibly stupid answer. Good luck!

Any concept you may encounter that includes the phrase "instead of PCT" is likely to be a horrible idea. As others have explained, you're not allowing for recovery, you're just extending the period your body is shut down. Personally, I like a small taper down before PCT - as so that the drop in hormones is not so profound on my body (going from 200 mph to 0 is a bit of a shock). However, this is to be included in the forecasted length of my cycle, and PCT is still adhered to.
