Messed up my wrist hang cleaning

I was hang cleaning heavy the other day doing 5 sets of 3. On my 4th set I was doing 255 and on my last rep i didn't shoot my elbows through so all the weight went to my wrist and it HURT! Got an xray later on in the week and it showed no breaks so the doc said it was probably just a sprain. I've been icing and stretching it; It still has a good range of motion it just hurts opening doors and other such movements. Has this ever happened to anyone elese here? And if it did what was the recovery time on it?

i dont do many cleans like i used to, and I never go that high. yeah man i always stretch my wrists before hand big time. I have got pretty bad wrist sprains from that before. As long as nothings torn or broke time should fix it.

Yea I always stretch my wrists too; it's a must if you're going to be doing heavy cleans, snatches, etc... You're right about waiting; I'm going to focus on my legs while I let my wrist re-cooperate. It's painful though not being able to throw around heavy weight on the bench or cleaning at the gym.
