    clen for overweight?

is it dangerous for overweight (23%-25%) to be using?

i been on a strenuous diet and work out program for 19months. iv lost over 60lbs and for the past 4-6 months its seems my body has hit a stand still......getting better muscle results but can't kick the fat.....i run 1-3 miles every day...do 60 mins free weights and a 2000 calorie diet...150-175 grams protein...

im wanting to get some clen to help me get over this hump...

im 6'2" 255 and im 25. i use to do competitive weight lifting in highschool and was in the navy, now in the army.so im not new to working out!
    thanks in advance.

I hope one of the vets will chime in, as I don't know much about clen, but at a higher BF blood pressure would be a concern, also if your sensitive to stimulants, clen might not be right for you, just keep an I eye on you BP .

personally, i don't like clen. it does serve a purpose, the only one in my opinion.

i believe clen is useful in getting the bf% down right before a competition. if you need to drop 0.5 to 1.0% body fat real fast, and are willing to work for it, then clen has a useful purpose.

but too often, i see newbs and others saying clen is the answer for weight loss in general. I totally disagree as clen is only a 2 week cycle and harsh on the body. best to just be patient, and let your diet and exercise routines do their part.

2000 cals at 255lbs? Seems very low and if you have been following this diet for a long period of time that could explain your platue. How long have you been running this 2000 cal diet, the whole 19months as you stated above?

personally, i have been overweight before. I think i would approach the weight loss problem in multiple steps. the best keto diet imho is the Atkins diet. You can safely lose 1/2 lb/day until you get close to your target. this doesn't work well if you do not have a substantial amount of weight to lose. next I would switch to a south beach diet as you get even closer to your target. At this time, introduce cardio and some mild strength training. Once your body gets used to the cardio, you can step up the strength training. Reason i don't recommend cardio right off the bat is if you are severly overweight, you are already putting a huge strain on your heart and body, best to get the weight off first before adding additional stressors like strength training and cardio.

this is something i've personally done, and have recommended to others in the past with a good success rate.

Very very good advice. I would include green tea as part of your daily liquid intake. If you drink protein shakes with Milk, get rid of it and use water.

might be a good idea to head to the nutrition section and post your current diet, and go from there.

Hi Hueypfc, I'm new here also, and I feel your pain. I am female, 36 years old at currently at 199 pounds. I have been overweight probably since I was 10. It's not easy.

I saw there where Roman suggested Atkins. I followed Atkins for quite some time. It took me 8 months of 2010 to drop 50 pounds. Men tend to lose faster than women as I understand it. I started cardio and weight training later. One I started the weight training, my weight only bounced around the same number, though I'm positive my bf% decreased (cause I'm wearing smaller jeans - is that even possible as a woman at 200 pounds???? LOL!) Anyway, I'm here because of the huge amount of info on clen.

I had posted my diet over in the nutrition section. The folks there have been quite helpful to me. One of the guys suggested carb cycling or a medium carb approach to me which may be the answer for me, we'll see.... He advised that that following a diet as low in carbs as mine is currently is not a good idea if I am exercising. The later stages of Atkins allows the addition of carbs weekly until you stop losing to find your tolerance for them. I ended up at a pretty strict keto diet, struggling to eat over 1000 calories most days so I have probably wrecked my metabolism for now. My problem is, I find it pretty frustrating that I'm where I am rather than already at my goal after all this time. I want the fat gone, and I want it NOW, ya know? Losing weight is HARD & takes a tremendous amount of commitment. You have done great so far!

I have also been researching as to why clen is better suited to a person who is closer to goal. I have yet to find a definite answer to that. The closest thing that I have found is the increase of blood pressure and heart rate puts more strain on the heart. I would guess this increses risk of heart attack or stroke in many people. I hope that more knowledgeable and experienced people here will offer their thoughts on that. As I said, I'm new too! Roman, and others have been helpful to me in a couple threads that I posted here. I'm sure that they will be to you also.

I wouldnt recommend using clen at that bf%. Being overweight puts alot of stress on the body, clen is very strong imo and puts even more stress on it. I would head to the diet section and have them help you.

Congrats on the weight loss btw.

I was in your position, when i started working out i had to drop 60lbs, did that in 4 months, started at around 40%bf, you dont need to look at taking anything, just have patience an keep a good diet an cardio in check an you'll get to your goal. Doin a great job already just keep it up

Hey t-dog how do you take clen? Do I do it straight up by itself or do I add it to a shake or something?

  15. #15
I take um straight up. Normally bout 30mg per day for a 2 week cycle. Dont take um much later than 3pm tho else you wont sleep! makes you feel like a duracel bunny!

When I first started working out I was 30% possibly more. The lowest I got to was 8% after nearly 3 years of diet and training but I plateaued at 15% for some time until I really changed up my diet and routine. I dropped the first 10% by severely restricting my calories because I had no knowledge, then I did a keto for 6-9 months which got me to 15%, then sub 15% was achieved by intermittent fasting. So my advice to you is to always switch it up and clen should ideally only be used for people who are sub 10% looking for that "dry" look, not to loose excessive bodyfat.
