Thumbs up New on the forum, couple of questions

Just wanted to say hello to everyone, I'm new on the forum though I've been lurking around here for quite some time. After a lot of reading on this and other forums it's clear that here is where the greatest number of experienced and knowledgeable people are and more and more this is where I have been coming for advice. So seems about time I setup a profile. Wanted to say thanks, everyone, for all of the clear and well written information I've already leeched off!

I'm about to start what will be my 3rd cycle. I don't have the details directly in front of me an I think there is likely a better forum for hashing over the details so I will post that there later, but I have a few really general questions I just wanted to throw out there.

First off, I'll save you having to click over and read the details of my profile:

    I'm 35yo
    I'm 5'6"
    I'm 155lbs
    I'm ~15% bf

    Here's a couple of questions:

    1) I know I'm quite a bit older than most of you guys but not as old as some. Does anyone have any advice on how dudes my age might want to adjust their cycles to compensate for my naturally dropping levels of testosterone? What about the other bullshit that's starting to happen with my body like its slowing metabolism, natural trend toward accumulating more body fat and the fact that my damn hairline is starting to recede? Any sage advice from guys my age and older regarding gear, SERMs, AIs, etc?

    2) I'm quite a bit smaller than most of you guys. Always have been. In fact if I don't spend a minimum of 6hrs a week in the gym and eat like a horse every day, my body weight naturally drops right off to about 135 within less than a year. More than once in years past I've had to start back there and build back up to about where I am now at 155, where I tend to plateau off. As of now I have 2 solid years in the gym, my diet down pat and about an extra 20lbs of lean natural muscle on me that wouldn't bee there if I wasn't lifting regularly; now I'm ready to stick some pins and get another 20. SO here's my question: being a smaller dude should I adjust my doses down a bit? I only say this because on my last cycle (which was test e and nandrolone, over 5 years ago), I did have some sides, got "Deca-Dick" for a couple of weeks and had to up the test, which did fix it but wasn't fun... I think I was way over on the Deca... So, any general advice for smaller sized guys from those with similar genetics?

Anyway sorry about the long post.
    Thanks all!

Welcome. I suggest you get some blood work done. Second, there's something up w/your diet i suspect. If you go to the Nutrition/Diet Section and post your stats w/current diet they will help you get a solid diet together. Without a good diet and solid training AAS isn't going to work.

If you copy and paste this in the Q&A you get a lot more views and responses.

    Good Luck and Enjoy!!

Copy that, stpete, thanks. I was planning on doing a full work-up at the doc before anything else. I will also ask for some direction on the Nute/Diet forum.

Welcome! Pete has got you off to a good start. With the right nutrition, you should see some clean healthy gains. Blood work would be great to see where you are at right now. At some point, a discussion of your cycle hx would be helpful.

I can relate to your frustration. I'm genetically small and it took me awhile to get from 145lbs to 190lbs and keep it lean and healthy. I'd love to break past the 200lb mark and stay there but my body is stubborn and genetics are hard to overcome!

    Cheers,

    MI

Cheers, MuscleInk; 190! Man, glad to see it can be done. Hard work and good diet and a little extra help on the side is how I plan to get there. Would be satisfied with 170 but we both know no one on this forum is ever satisfied! Anyway, yes bloodwork first and I'm still fishing around for all the various PCT stuff I need and will be posting what I'm planning and asking for input and discussing with the guru's over the next couple of weeks.

Welcome to the Board. I second the bloodwork. Make sure you don't have low T and high estro. Also list a sample of your meals for a typical day with macros in the nutrition section to get some help.

I'm 5'3 currently 194 pounds. I bench 485 pounds and have 3 world records at benching. I have a doctor who keeps her eye on what I do but she broke it down very plain and simple to me. You don't have to take 1000 Mgs of test to get the results you need. Did you know Dorian Yates did 300 Mgs of test prop a week before contest. Steroids are not magic. If your not not eating and doing the things you should be doing diet wise your not gonna get the results you want no matter what. I had my test levels checked at one time and my levels was 7300 and I still wasn't gaining any weight. I wasn't eating right either. I would start with 600 mg test a week for 12 weeks and 400 Mgs of Deca for 12 weeks and 40-50 Mgs of DBol everyday for 4 weeks. Tune in your diet and make sure your eating whole foods and not just shakes. But you can definitely throw those in there. See how that works for you but please stick to a good diet. Remember AAS can help but they can't turn nothing into something!! Good lick bro.

Thanks guys. Made an appointment with my doc this morning for a full once-over including blood. Bskeys44, that's epic man but your numbers freak me out a little bit! Did all your hair fall out?!? I've gotten awesome results with previous cycles on about half of what you posted above, but then I have never been up to 190, either. The one where I used nandrolone before did have a pretty significant effect and I blew up about 25-30lbs in a couple of months but i was a puffy mother****er it seemed like it was a lot of water and only about 10-12lbs stuck around post-cycle. Like I said I had week of limp dick in there too so I'm going to avoid it for now. I do eat pretty well and I certainly do understand that meals are > shakes; I normally do a 650 calorie weight gainer shake mid-morning and a post-workout protein shake that's more like 250 but that doesn't have much for carbs in in it, just a whey/casein blend. I eat meat but try to limit my intake of red meat/beef to EOD or so. I eat a lot of chicken, lean pork, lot of fish obviously, eggs, brown rice, some beans, some green stuff, I do take multi-vit's (animal packs) fish oil, joint health shit, you know the usual, try to watch my ratio's as well as my calories. My daily calories are around 3000 - 3200. I'm pretty severely lactose intolerant so dairy and I don't get a long but I don't think its really that big of a problem I can work around it. Anyway I'll get it all down in detail on the other forums. Thanks BigGuns, thanks again for the advice everyone, great to be in the mix.
